I like to precook my potatoes in the microwave too, then I cut them up in thick wedges, but I bake mine instead of frying them, I just toss them up with a little bit of olive or canola oil, some seasonings, occasionally some Parmesan, and bake them. Very yummy!

I'm making mashed (whipped) potatoes tonight to have with our dinner. I've got one of those kick-ass KitchenAid stand mixers that whips those potatoes into heavenly perfection! I love potatoes and I love my mixer for making them into the perfect texture of mashed potato!

    Yay potato!

Sounds yummy. I am not Irish myself, but I love potatoes (which I pronounce poh-ta-tohs)... It's the Russian in me.

It did make me laugh outloud. :)

you should make a song about these poh-ta-tohs and put it on your myspace.
but i'm sure it wouldn't beat the song about crack cocaine...
