As you probably know he died 20 years ago and we should never forgot this great musician who was the voice of a generation. So hereby my ode thread to him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6XBlkvTmv8"]Nirvana - Territorial Pissings (Live At The Paramount/1991) - YouTube
Did you see that movie that was based loosely on his life? I forget what it was called now.....but poor lost dark soul, eh...had to be to die like that. I saw the movie twice too and just cannot remember what it is called.
Don't think I've seen it. It's always the same in life, the depressed heroine addicts always die too young.
I admire the man's intellect more than his music. I never much liked Nirvana, even back in the day when they were so popular, though I pretty vividly remember buying the Nevermind album just weeks after it came out at a now-defunct department store called Leachmere where I was shopping with my mom. I was in 5th grade at the time. Other than that, I don't ever remember buying a Nirvana album, though I stole the Unplugged album from a friend in 9th grade because I liked the Bowie cover of 'The Man Who Sold the World'. But yeah, Kurt Cobain was an extremely intelligent guy, and I never really respected him until watching some old interviews with him on YouTube. The guy also had a pretty extensive knowledge about music, and even cited King Crimson's Red as being the greatest album ever made.
I remember getting the Nevermind album as well when it just came out. Still being a kid, it blew me right away. It was a defining musical moment for me in the 90s and lots of us youngsters could relate to the music, whilst our parents hated it. That's why to me Nirvana really is the voice of the 90s generation. Well, one of them.
I googled and it says Last Days is one movie. The other is About a Son I don't know which movie I saw
