Neighbor came over to my boat last night, drunk as usual and mean. i asked him to leave and he got in his dinghy to row to his boat but the tide was so strong and he was too drunk to fight it, it ended up literally dragging him to the AA by the Bay on shore.... he attended, spoke, and plans to attend every week now. wow.
yeah, they asked him to return, but not drunk next time! certainly sounds too good to be true. i could hardly believe it either! my husband offered to row him home but he responded, fuck you.... so....
yeah. when we saw him floating over, we were skeptical he'd get any help out of it. guess he saw it as a sign, because he spoke, participated and seems to want to get better through AA.
LOL, I should have said " waadaya gonna do, take away his oars?" It's great the guys getting himself some help :2thumbsup:
He's damn lucky for it too, It could have been a lot more tragic... Mother nature was gentle with him this time. He could have ended up in 'Davey Jones locker' as they say..arr! irate:
meh, he's fallen in the bay so many times... around our mooring field, drunken neighbors falling in the water and the rest of us having to play rescue is so common, we call it 'the goat show'. you have a point though, depending on the tide, he could have been dragged out to sea.... we wouldn't have let that happen. but the tide was coming in, and happened to be directly in the direction of the sunset AA meeting on shore.
