    They will, of course, try and repress this movement. If this really picks up we will see more of this behavior. Thank you to all who document and report this event and thank you to those in this thread keeping people here informed. As things escalate and we see more scenes like this it can be hoped that more and more people will become outraged. That more people will wake up and realize that the country they love is in peril and that they need to act NOW!

    I was ditching my ties to the major financial banks before the Occupy movement and I'm glad everyday. With the news of BofA and Citi in recent days... I don't know how anyone could continue to patronize these bastards.

    I'm credit union only now. And looking to connect with the local Occupy group.
    Also looking to do some guerrilla/street "art" in the form of "messages".

    I used to be part of a credit union, the problem was that the closest branch was miles away. So, I opened a Citibank account near my house. If they try to screw me, I’m thinking Ally Bank. Marketing is basically just tell the customer what they want to hear in order to get a hold of their money, but I like the way Ally’s marketing sounds.

    Talking about Occupy Wall Street, have y’all seen this list of demands;

    http://occupywallst.org/forum/proposed-list-of-demands-for-occupy-wall-st-moveme/

    This is a list of demands by these people as they advocate for the transformation of America into a communist society. These demands are so insane, disgusting and over the top I can hardly believe that anyone can take these seriously. I don’t care if someone is democrat or republican, no one can possible believe these will be good for America. Anyone that supports these ideas does not love America and I wish they would leave the country and leave us alone.

    For instance;

    Number 3 demands a guaranteed living wage regardless of employment. Great so someone can sit on their lazy butt and watch soap operas all day, never work, never contribute to society and be guaranteed a living wage? Riiiiight, that will really get the economy moving. Here, I got a better idea; one year of unemployment. That is way too long, but I’ll compromise. 2 years of welfare. After that, you get cut off. If your lazy ass still can’t get a job, you can move into a government owned apartment block. It would be clean, but not comfortable. No drugs, no alcohol, no parties, no cable tv, no games systems. There would be food in a dining hall that would be healthy, and sufficiently filling, but not very tasty. Apartments would be searched for contraband and drug tests would be administered. Also, begging or living on the street would be illegal and finances would be analyzed. I don’t like government intervention, but I also don’t like government spending money. And I would rather the government harassing some lazy good for nothing than be harassing me. On, the other hand, if someone is working, busting their ass, but for just minimum wage, then the government should help them out. So, you want to get out of the government housing block, get a job.

    Number 11 says debt forgiveness for all. How many banks would go out of business and then how many people would lose their jobs. So, then the big banks would take over small banks and get bigger. Bigger more powerful banking corporations, this is what y’all want. Or would we the little people have to go to the government to get a loan? Well, considering the fact that the IRS is one of the most ruthless debt collecting agencies on the planet, what would the collection agency for the federal government be like when they are trying to chase down late payments on those loans.

    Number 2 says ban health insurance companies and number 12 says ban credit reporting agencies. Great more companies out of business and hundreds of thousands of more lost jobs. Not to mention the fact that the federal government screws up everything it touches. Can anyone name something good the federal government has done efficiently? Do y’all really believe the federal government can efficiently and effectively run our health-care system? Well, jump on your unicorns and ride on down to the gumdrop palace cause you are living in fantasy land. (Can’t remember where I heard that, but I like it.) Some people may have had good service at the VA or some other government agency, but most people that have to deal with the SSA, the VA, the EPA, OSHA or some other agency on a regular basis have seen what it is going to be like when we have to beg the federal government for payment for health-care services.

    Number nine says open borders migration. Great, so just let in every poor bastard from anywhere on earth to come and enjoy a guaranteed living wage no matter whether they work or not? Maybe the proposal is that that particular benefit would be reserved for citizens, but I doubt it. Now, some of the hardest workers I have ever seen were probably illegal aliens. These guys were humble, polite and worked their asses off. These guys also should have had access to some form of legal immigration, because America would welcome anyone willing to work that hard. But many, if not most, illegal aliens are just a drain on the system. They might be uneducated, they might be criminals, they might have 8 children or they might just be lazy and not want to work. They don’t pay taxes, yet their children are in our schools, they use our roads, they go to our emergency room when they get a cold and they can call 911 if they get attacked or there is a fire. Point is, if you want to work and obey the law, learn English and integrate into our society, then America welcomes you. If not, keep your ass at home, we don’t want you here. What we need is stricter enforcement of the border, deportation of criminal illegal aliens, a law that says anyone arrested for some other crime has to prove they are here legally and a better system to welcome in those that we want to come in.

    Number six asks for 1 trillion in infrastructure spending. I would agree with that, if it didn’t raise taxes, because the federal government already has all the money it needs. They only want to raise taxes because they are greedy extra-constitutional bastards and want more money. Oh, wait, we just had almost 1 trillion in infrastructure spending, 787 billion actually. And Congressman Paul Ryan tells us only 6% actually went to infrastructure.

    What gets me the most is the way people scream and yell at the greedy corporations, when the real greed is centered at the White House and Capital Hill. The greed of the corporations has never done anything to me except provide me with products that I might want to buy. The greed of government is killing our country and turning into something I don’t like. If you don’t like Capitalism and Democracy, I wish you would leave the rest of us alone and move to Venezuela or something. Goodbye

    @ Fawkes

    I do not have time to respond to your entire post at the moment. But I will say this, I do agree with many of the things in your post considering the 13 demands. On their own I do not think they would work, but you need to think outside the box, the demands would require many other things from the government in terms of the beginning and ending of other government "projects" like war etc. While it is not on the demands, it seems necessary in order to free up money. You also contradicted yourself with your infrastructure rant. You say that 787 billion was spent on infrastructure, and then you say only 6% of that was used for actual infrastructure, clearly you do not understand the point of that demand, (hint, part of the demand might be actually 100% of 1 trillion being used for infrastructure instead of getting tied up in the kind of bureaucratic bullshit that would allow 787 billion dollars to be wasted when only 6% is going to the actual building and maintenance of infrastructure.)

    I see we have some republican supporters here... Sounds an awful lot like this;

    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/10/05/cain-not-rich-no-job-blame-yourself/?hpt=hp_t2

    ....

    Now, as for those who say some of these things.

    I know more people who work harder for minimum wage, then ANYONE I know who makes 100k plus...

    If you don't understand the dicrepency of one of the rich, talking about how its the poors fault that they have grown up in a society that reqards greed, corruption and selfishness as a positive trait and punishes everyone else, then either you are one of the rich, or you are seriously suffering from brain damage.

    I hear you about the infrastructure, and I agree with you. I guess I didn't explain exactly what I meant. I was thinking that I don't want another infrastructure bill because we've already had one, and it was mostly wasted. Yes, OWS would try to demand that all 100% goes to roads and bridges, but that will never happen. They might get better than 6%, like say 25%. But that is still horrid. They will never get 80% or 90% spent on infrastructure.

    The roads and bridges and schools and stuff needs to be fixed, that is a fact. I don't know how to get it done, but I do know that we spend way too much money on stuff that we shouldn't be spending money on, and not enough money on stuff that we should be spending money on. Plus, most roads and bridges are a local or state thing. Why would the federal government be involved in the first place if the 836 Expressway, which is a State Highway here in Miami, needs some fixing. That's Tallahassee's problem, not Washington's

    First, luck does play a large part of it. All of us were very lucky to have been born in the USA, UK, Canada or other rich countries and NOT in Kyrgyzstan or North Korea. That said, many people also had the great fortune to be born into incredible wealth. Some people were born poor, worked their asses off, and made millions or billions of dollars. That said, it is their money and they have the right to do with it as they wish.

    It is immoral, on the other hand for the federal government to take %40 of some rich guy's wealth, under the pretext of helping out the little guy, then waste a large percentage of that money, keep some of it, give some to their friends and cronies and then let the little guy, for whom the money was originally confiscated, have the scraps.

    I saw a stat somewhere that said 1% of the population in the USA has more money than the bottom 90% combined. So? They also create all the jobs. Who cares how much money someone else has. Keep going to work, keep trying to better your own situation and stop being a covetous whiny bastard.

    I ain't very religious. I actually had to look this up because I didn't know which commandment this is, but the tenth commandment says;
    “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”

    That is basically what we are talking about. Someone got rich through legal means. Now they live in a big ole house and vacation all the time in St. Lucia and have 4 cars and other people look at that wealth and want it. Most of us will never have the ability to be rich, but for those that are: Well done.

    This all completely ignores the fact that those that get rich, do so off the labor of thousands of people. The same people who you claim should be working harder and not whining as they starve and lose their homes while those at the top (whom you support) get richer.
