Ms. Walters was kind of a badass. It's a shame to know she's gone though 93 is a good age. May she rest in peace.

I wasn't a big fan of this pope. He was almost a lame duck and carried on the regressive conservative agenda of the last one. I don't hold it against him he retired. The Cardinals who elected him didn't know what he knew. And he was an intellectual, which is usually very good.
I hold no ill will against Pope Benedict 16th (I refuse to use Roman numerals). Despite his bodily health issues and some ass backwards viewpoints on matters of sexuality, that latter of which are generally rife in Christianity anyway, he did his best. May he rest in peace.

I was sad to learn one of the Pointer Sisters, Anita, passed away one day short of 2023. Cause of death is the C word. I was never a huge fan of the group, but I can respect the integrity of their music, and am not quick to roll my eyes whenever I hear any of their songs on the radio. Actually, it's refreshing to hear a successful and harmonious sister act. May Ms. Pointer rest in peace.

RIP Earl Boen, AKA Dr. Silberman.

A veteran character and voice actor most well known as the vile Dr. Silberman in the first 3 Terminator movies,
Earl Boen was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer last year. He was 81.

Burt Bacharach, prolific composer of pop hits, dies at 94 (msn.com)

being a lover of music, and a fan of pop and top 40 - I loved Burt Bacharach's music - not to say I was only a pop-music fan - rock n' roll, country, soul, jazz, and so many more great genres. But he was a legend - I remember him with Angie Dickinson. What a pair.

What do you get when you fall in love? You only get lies and pain and sorrow, but for at least until tomorrow, I will never fall in love again....

His songs were certainly a background to my life in the 60s-70s , whether I liked them all or not.
