At the time it was written Obama hadn't been born. Why though is it even an issue? Our species is about to engineer it's own extinction and you lot prattle on about this when important questions such as why neither candidate mentioned climate change should be asked. Once the phrase 'America Home of The Brave and Free' meant something. Now I feel it should be 'America, home of the blind and foolish'.

I am part of society as a whole despite I wasn't your target.
I feel there is mass denial throughout society about the current state of affairs worldwide, hence society has put on blinders. If you have some spare time you should look into the info those links provides. I am curious to hear your thoughts. I am not trying to change anyone's mind. I don't wear blinders. Neither would I conclude those that think they are so aware of the current state of affairs as scholars. Neither statement is true. Sorry I'm not receptive about the links. Maybe if I knew you better I could engage, but for now, I'm pretty skeptical about your intentions.
The president doesn't start with a clean slate. The world doesn't drop everything since we have a new president. Some things can be done immediately, some things take longer, and some things cannot be done and they don't find that out until they are actually in the big chair getting daily briefings from the intel communities and other sources. No matter what they do, the president will never please everyone. You can't just pick up and leave this war on terror, however, I do believe it needs to be fought in a smarter manner.
They need to pull all the troops out NOW, period. They are needed at home and not overseas. They are spending billions of dollars a day to fight a war on terror, which doesn't have anything to do with IRAQ anymore. It's all about the OIL.... THAT's why they won't walk away. Things like changes in policy take time, but if the mood struck him, and he REALLY wanted to, he could mobilize transport and have ALL troops out of IRAQ in 24 to 48 hours. (Of course they would be leaving some equipment behind if they did it that fast, but hey, it should already be considered a write off by now anyway). :afro:
