Obama-era program continues to nab illegal immigration attempts

  1. It's called the University of Farmington in Michigan and is a fake university. Students on expiring visas know when they "enroll" that it's just a scam to keep them in the country and that they will not be attending any classes (since there are no classrooms).

But they enroll anyway because it's a cheap way to circumvent the law. While this particular site, in operation since early 2015 only caught a few hundred, there are many others that have not made the news. It's a clever ploy that I saw used in Memphis back in the 80s to snare people who weren't paying traffic tickets by fooling them into thinking they won a big prize (hundreds arrested in an arena).

It's also a lesson that you can't expect to fool "stupid American" law enforcement forever. They eventually catch up, in a big way.

Also, Trump still hasn't caught up with the numbers of people deported by Obama.
