O, ye of little faith... It isn't over, and won't BE over, until the Birth Certificate and other documents are released. Who thinks that the world isn't watching this? What happens when, say, some country feels abused by some policy of Obama's admin? What happens if that other country SUES the U.S. over this issue? Who is going to put everything back to the way it was? i've been reading a bunch of articles about what our election and inauguration of an usurper will mean to us, as a country ~ "It isn't pretty" would be the understatement of the century...
Nah ~ i'm one of the folks who would be most helped by a redistribution of the wealth, i'm sad to say.
It must be released because that is one of the requirements of the position he has applied for, and, indeed, been hired for. It must be released because this issue has become a Big Deal. It must be released because the consequences of our having a pretender sitting as PotUS would be an absolute disaster. Since this practice of providing documentation of citizenship and certified identification is SOP (Standard Operation Proceedure) in MANY situations in our society, it is unfathomable that the man seeking the highest office in our land would REFUSE to obey the laws of our land, and would actually spend in excess of $800,000 on other lawyers, in order to keep some documents that would only cost him $10, and could be over-nighted to him, HIDDEN. i just don't understand how anyone could think that was "normal" ...
Are you saying that you have to show your birth certificate in order to become President in the USA? Didn't he show an official his BC yet? See, in my view, if I were in Obama's position, I wouldn't release my Birth Certificate. There are a lot of nutjobs out there who would try and replicate my BC, and it's a personal document. None of anyone's business to see what my Birth Certificate looks like, no matter how much they want to print it out in the newspapers. I mean, you're allowed to disobey a bunch of journalists and crazy pundits asking to give them your birth certificate.
Ironic that to "save" the constitution Obama would have to prove he was innocent rather than have his accusers prove he was guilty.
In answer to your question: Yes. The PotUS is our face to the world. His birth certificate HAS become an issue, with the citizenry of the country he intends to represent. He needs to put the questions to rest. And, yes, again. i've had to show my birth certificate ~ for my first driver's license; for computer programming school; for nursing school; for college; anytime i lose some of my ID; and if i had ever joined the military, it would have been mandatory. i'm sure there are more situations that require the proof of citizenship contained in a birth certificate, i just can't think of them right now. Had i refused to produce it, i would have been escorted out of wherever i was, and any threats on my part regarding lawsuits against those entities would have been met with much loud laughter, and a couple of raspberries, i expect.
Oops ~ i forgot the rest of your post... Okay, now, if you refused to show your birth certificate, to someone who has a vested interest in assuring themselves that you are, indeed, who you claim to be and that you are a citizen, you just wouldn't "get" whatever you had gone there for. And that's another thing that makes this whole situation so unbelieveable.
He isn't being accused. He's being asked for ID. And just like everybody else, he needs to show it, if for nothing else, the good of the country. i mean, seriously ~ what kind of person intentionally causes this kind of uproar amongst the very citizenry he desires to oversee?
If it was a matter of settling some sort of argument, like, say, me claiming to have the number: 000 - 00 - 0001 and you calling me on it, sure. (In fact, you may have just stumbled across a way for folks to get NEW numbers... clean numbers...) And you may rest assured that when the places i mentioned in my post above have asked me for ANY of my ID, i show it to them. The thing is, i wouldn't be arrogant enough to walk into a situation, thinking i could tell folks what and how regarding their business. If something got lost in the shuffle, i would have NO PROBLEM re-submitting whatever was being called into question.
I fail to see the point in Obama showing his ID. He's showed it to officials, to the people that require it of him. It's not his fault that someone wants him to release his own private documents after his ID has been deemed official already.
i don't exactly hear anyone from the DNC getting up in public, saying that they had certified him, according to our constitution.
