    Indeed !

Why is it, that the self proclaimed "critical thinker-researcher of propaganda"
Took 5+ years to realize what the majority figured out in less than 10 minutes "that AJ was/is full of shit"?

My god! Obama was lying about not wanting the government to take over health care? No way! Next you'll be telling me he is going to raise taxes on the middle class.

What's your point? He doesn't want the government to take over health care and he isn't raising taxes on the middle class. You make it sound like the opposite is true.

I am waiting for the day the US Government takes over health care. I'd love to visit the doctor without worrying how I am going to pay for it.

I work I pay taxes, why should I have to sell my home to qualify for government aid to be seen or hospitalized? Not asking for a hand out, asking that my needs be considered at least as important as those of corporations.

Death tax as repugs like to call inheritance taxes...hell by the time my family pays for long term care and insurance we have nothing left to give our dependants. In fact to enroll a senior in a convalescent hospital on medicare they have to sell all their assets.

Why should someone who doesn't even own a home pay taxes to cover your health bills because you don't want to sell your house?
    Well you are actually.

I'm a big fan of anaphoras, epanalepsis, and maxims. Buy me a book for Christmas on rhetorical devices and I'll send you the best biography there is that will change your mind about Alexander Pope??

    Say yes...

With universal health care why would you need medical insurance and whats so bad about it?

Depends what kind of system. We have universal coverage in Canada, but it's not entirely government funded - it's based on a two-tiered system. Meaning, that a large part of basic health care services are paid for and delivered by the government at a more fixed and regulated rate than say if the burden was entirely paid for by insurance companies.

You'd need medical insurance for things like breast implants, prozac habits and elective surgeries or medical expenses beyond the nature of basic humanistic services rendered by the government.

I mean, we can all agree that a public system that pays for penis enhancements shouldn't apply as basic coverage for medical expenses, right?

What if you suffer from this though!

But it does raise a question of what should and shouldn't be provided.

Though out of all this healthcare debate one thing people from both sides have been ignoring is that when it comes to the plan for health care reform......................oh wait that's right no one has actually yet come up with any damn plan to even argue about.

    I'll propose a plan then.

The pharmaceutical companies need to be regulated - big time. Not just in the USA, but predominantly in the US sectors where they are charging low-cost drugs or high-cost drugs at unfixed rates as set by the Bush Administration. It's unfair to let the markets decide which drugs will be accessible to the people of whom belong to an irresponsible government of which they require a highly calculable and determined set amount. It is laws such as those that have caused Wal-Mart pharmacies to get rich and derivative knock-off drugs to be thrust onto the market with little to no clinical testing.

Step 1 of helping people get drugs is the Canadian option, Canada has cheaper drugs them damnit we should import their cheaper drugs, I've smoked Canadian weed, they know how to do drugs right

Cheers. That's what I'm doing rightttt now my friend. (did you go to GOTV?)

Step 2 - shoulder the burden of healthcare costs and make it mandatory in the USA that insurance companies cover a certain percentage, stipulation, formula of cost for all of their workers. Okay, a company with a certain number of workers, or a certain number of workers as employees for a certain number of years or somesuch should be entitled to have private healthcare coverage as part of their rights.

I dunno. It's crazy to me to think that the government says "so what?" to their own people when they are dying or in need of medical attention. Like, 'show me the money' is an attitude that we uphold in response to medical emergencies?

Doctors who choose to practice in the USA under those kinds of conditions where the most vulnerable are not, and cannot be looked after should be ashamed of themselves. I would be.

    I failed:(

My friend went and now hates his life because every day is so boring compared to those 4 days of epic ridiculousness. haha

Though to jump back onto healthcare remember it is illegal for a person to be denied emergency care in the US. Though that still doesn't solve the problem of health problems for the uninsured which aren't current emergencies. Sure there are free clinics and such, and while noble causes, they're horribly understaffed, underfunded and over stressed.

The funny thing is even people who are insured and who oppose reform fail to take into account they're basically saying "Spend twice as more then every other first world country and leave 48 million people uninsured?!?!?! Sign me up!!!"

Even people with insurance get buried alive by medical bills. It doesn't matter what kind of reform someone is proposing, ranging from a free market reform that makes Adam Smith look like a protectionist, or to a "socialized" system that's so evil and communist that Stalin himself rises from the grave to check your pulse, the point is something needs to be done

I must say though Dave Chappelle might have the best idea on how to help fix healthcare in the US, just give everyone fake Canadian ID cards

I just got the freakiest driver's license ever. There is a picture of me in black and white, and then a little miniature holographic version of me in black in white at the corner. It looks like a ghost me on my card. *shudders*
