i love rib eye steaks

i like to marinate them in italian salad dressing for a few hours before BBQ

 

dollar store has the rib eye for a dollar each. they are pretty good, tender few minutes on grill or skillet..

i like mine fresh and bloody in a package where i can see the contents

but damn that price is low compared to meat up here

yeah they are a little thin. I usually take out 4 to grill up..

 

I bought a ten tray dehydrator on eBay. It's good just needs almost double the time than suggested, depends how tough you like your jerky I guess. Some of my thicker cuts and top trays I needed a bit longer. But for the rest, they're like leather to begin with and then after few chomps will soften up so it's perfect for me. I used too much soy sauce for this though, next batch is less sauce more honey and tons more tobasco and hot Caen peppers.

i use curing salts...and liquid smoke ..black pepper sometimes a few spices and tobasco

i never liked the salty taste of soya sauce

never tried honey seems like it would make a mess on the trays and be hard to clean

 

I used soy because I had a big bottle of it.

 

I use drugs and sometimes deodorant

 

Lately, I've been watching the X-Files. I love it, such a great show, wish I had watching it years ago.

 

at 3.5 ozs a steak it's still $4.50+ per lb, so while it's a good price, I get better deals at Vons on sales and better quality meat.
BUT if I find them near me i will [probably buy some anyway....

 

Duane Barry! That's who I remember from X Files. I attempted to watch the whole series several years ago and bought the entire collection. I got about half way through before something else obviously dragged me away. 5 years on and I ask do I start from the beginning again or??

I have fields on all 4 sides of my home.....100 acres on each side....the outh side is where people driving could see behind my house but this year he has planted corn .....which means I now will have 7 foot tall cover plants to block the view

 

After 5 years I would need to start a show over to remember all the characters and plot lines.

 

I never liked the x files

 

That's the thing though. I think after 5 seasons there was no plot yet. Just job by job stuff. I real storyline between Moulder and his sister yet.

 

I always liked the X-Files. I watched some of 2 episodes of this current X-File show. It just wasn't the same to me.

The very worst show of the entire series is called "Home". I still remember it...creepy and just awful. I was sort of surprised when not too long ago I read on facebook where "the worst episode, Home, is based on a true story".

So...if you want to be super creeped out by just damn vileness watch that episode.
