Jensen Huang is turning Nvidia's chips into the iPhone of the AI world (msn.com) Cellphone chips are not exactly cutting edge graphics, but the Pentagon forbade Nvidia from making laptops, and this move makes perfect sense, when you consider everyone is investing heavily in VR. There's no reason a VR headset can't be as light as sunglasses, and Nvidia certainly has the technology, and the same chips that go in glasses, can go in cellphones. Intel's current Looney Lake chips provide a base for comparison, they're 20% more efficient than ARM right now. Nvidia can compete with that, but they need experience with cellphone chips first. They're fast learners, and I give them a year or so before they announce their new headsets.
