Nudist videos

The likes of Russianbare and Pure Nudism. Even mentioning them got me banned from another site. Can I talk about them here?

 

I'm not surprised. Very controversial topic.

Here's my 5 cents; if I'm allowed to have them here. My understanding is that the people documented are "legit" nudists, members of a family-oriented Russian non-landed club. Not unlike Jock Sturges' models. The issue is the pervasive focus on the members' kids. The detractors feel strongly that the website is just fodder for pedophiles.

I think the members of this nudist group have a financial incentive to allow their kids being documented. I don't know much about Russian nudist culture; but it appears more permissive and "youth-focused." So they might not even see anything wrong with it. But to Western values, this appears as little more than exploitation - perhaps even abuse.

As a nudist parent whose daughter has participated in activities at nudist resorts with other kids, seeing kids playing naked and free was admittedly endearing. But I would never had allowed these events to be documented and sold to a website for "public consumption." I don't necessarily condemn the parents of these children (from what I've seen the kids look fairly happy and comfortable in front of the camera); but there is a bit of a moral issue with what the photographer is choosing to focus on; and why. I believe Jock Sturges or Sally Mann did it for art; but I don't get the same vibe from Peter Dietrich.

 

Is it controversial though? Only if you think nudism is wrong I guess it is.

Hundreds of (mostly old) nudism videos are freely available on a popular Russian site. They are are just nudism videos, nothing sexual about them at all and presumably legal in most countries. My step daughter often watches the beauty pageant videos. She often gives me & my partner a running commentary like "She should win,... no actually she should.... no, definitely her!"

I won't post the link to the site here as it seems to offend some people, but anyone spending couple minutes on a search engine looking for the site will no doubt soon find it.

 

I think it's not a case of either/or but both/and. They can be viewed innocently and enjoyed solely for their entertainment value and at the same time pedophiles will enjoy them for nefarious reasons but this is true of any beach - not only nude beaches. No one claims we should close every beach because some people have evil intentions.

 

It's the ban that really ticks me off. I didn't violate any specific rule or guideline but there's a catchall "mod discretion" rule that can be the only one they could use. Seeing the videos as only exploitative says more about the moderators and the user who reported my post than about me or the post itself.

 

Well anyway what I wanted to say is I think they're great. The girls are happy, I feel like I know them just from watching them walk around, swim and play or pose in the case of the pageant videos. Especially one of the Russianbare girls, Polina. She's fun-loving and mischievous. I wonder where she is now and if she's still a nudist. In later videos she's naked less and behind the camera more, maybe she's gone in that direction and helps with filming. They're from Ukraine I think having seen them at Koktebel. I wonder if someone went there and asked if the locals would know who she is. Also wonder how they're thought of. I find it fascinating how naked girls 10-13 are pretty much the highest taboo in our culture but in some of the videos they're naked on a beach around many clothed people who don't bat an eyelid. I think I need to move there as they have the right attitude to nudity in my book.

 

No doubt about it. The members are documented over a number of years; and combined with the many events they have, it makes the viewer feel like they know them personally, as they can literally see the young'uns growing up.

Tbh I'm actually surprised this thread hasn't gotten "blown up." The last time I posted about child nudism here I was actually threatened. Maybe the trolls just went away.
