I've been to various types. A couple were more on the rustic nature with a pool and hiking trail mainly. Ive also been to more resort type with lots of activities, housing, pools and restaurants. I'm presently a member of one of the nicer resort type. You then too have lifestyle resorts where it's more adult oriented sexually.
We've been to several around the US and one in Jamica (which was very open about sex). They most all have hot tubs, pools, tennis and shuffleboard courts and coed showers which she loves.
I couldn't describe the dozen or so nudist resorts and clubs I've been to without writing a book; but there have been basically 3 types: - Clothing-optional - Nude Obligatory - Adult-oriented. Nude Obligatory have been my favorite even though some people dislike the "obligatory" part. I think it makes things "simple." You check in (naked or not), go back to your car, undress if you haven't already; and then you're completely naked for the rest of the day. Since everyone else is the same, there is a stronger sense of community and connection to the other people there (IMHO). Even my wife prefers it; as she finds that socializing nude is easier to her when the people she's socializing with are also naked. Adult-oriented can be fun - depending on your boundaries. My first wife had (non-sexual) fun with it by being a bit more "open and expressive" than she could be at "regular" resorts; but we weren't "overtly sexual" nudists, so it wasn't something we wanted to explore any deeper. Clothing-optional is good for people who want to be able to "pick and choose" when and where they're naked; which is not my personal nudist philosophy. I've been to more of those than any other; some where virtually no one outside the pool area was naked. I tend to not return to those after visiting them once.
We've been to 2 nudist beaches(one unofficial) in the East of England. Both vast sandy beaches. One was family orientated & had a nice atmosphere. People of all ages, mostly unclothed. Some sexual activity in the Dunes and sea but not blatant or in your face, so to speak The other had a lot of Clothed Males hiding in the dunes with binoculars lol. We're thinking of going to a resort specifically for Naturists in the near future.
The one locally about an hour away is in a beautiful setting with a lake. It has a club house with an attached indoor pool and hot tub. Food and drinks are provided at a minimal cost. There is also an RV park and a camping area.
Cedar trails in ohio has a pool, hot tub, Pavillion, cabins, tent camping, 6 miles of trails, and DISC GOLF! We had a great time and will be back. Everyone was just naked and chilling and playing games and everything. Everyone was very nice and chatty too.
