I did it for art classes during my first 2 pregnancies but my partner's not keen for me to do it this time round. However she's a photographer and also made a reasonable living selling sketches so if I'm a good girl she's promised to photograph and draw me with every passing month, getting bigger and bigger...
Three of us here in the Studio are nude photographers, but we do not do nude modelling assignments, just commercial, product and landscape. That's what makes us different and when people come here they will see us nude. An artist several doors up in our street paints nudes, and she is also nude to do that.
Many, many years ago, I thought nothing of posing nude. Nowadays people would probably pay me to put my clothes back on!
For someone with a naturist attitude, nobody's (and no body's) unacceptable because of age or any of those characteristics that make someone "ugly". Save those "perfect" bodies for the Facebook of Sex.
Who needs pictures? I can imagine you in full bloom of youth, your supple nude limbs glistening in the sunlight as earnest young students peek over their canvases from time to time, then dab paint on the canvas, gradually giving life to multiple copies of your naked image, perhaps a bit in the abstract, in pastels or watercolor.
Whew ... is it getting warm in here??? Actually, it wasn't for art classes, but thank you for such a lovely image
You are welcome! Two additional thoughts: 1. If it didn't happen, it would have been nice if it did happen! Nude portraits centuries old, still tease, delight and inspire long after the models have... shall we say... gone on to other things... 2. Youth is wasted on the young. Well, there were a few moments that I managed to enjoy but clearly not enough fun and frivolity. Nude modeling is hard work for both artist and model, but celebrates beauty and allows others to create more beauty. Even those whose bodies are age-weathered like a mountain oak offer the painter or photographer rich textures and hues to put on canvas or paper. Great respect to all who do this work!
Posing whether for class , porn or just the fun of it , can be a blast. Porn is in the eye of the beholder.
I have a friend who did nude modelling last year. This was for a drawing class. The interesting thing about nude modelling in NZ is that finding a nude male model is difficult. Hence there was as much work as he could handle. The work is only very part time, not every day, during term time and this would count out many possible models. When he was being used it took the best part of the day, but only a few hours was actually naked and therefore paid. There would be a session in the morning from 10am, lunch, then another after lunch with everything over by 3pm but the bus arrived at 8.30 am and left at 5pm . There were two variations : him and him with a female model. It does require that the model is comfortable with being naked in the front of strangers and he had no problems there. He found the main issue was keeping awake. He found that nude modelling is actually erotic and the drawings of him show a soft erection. On a more general level it was interesting to see the different interpretations some detailed and others more abstract of the same thing.
