What i meant is that we can´t stay under the law of a old book, we have to look forward we are diferent people and have diferent circumstances than others had in their time, rules need to change too. The second amendment was probably necesary to people in a country full of hostile indian tribes, bears and wild life, or even with the threat of the british empire, also that people had diferent weapons then. Have you ever heard of The Bielski Partisans? After their parents were murdered by Nazis, three Jewish brothers in German occupied Poland grabbed all of their guns and took to the woods. These Jews fought back! Against orders from the Jewish Elders, the Bielski's rescued Jews from the Ghettos and built small cities in the woods of a Nazi controlled region. Not only did the three brothers survive the war, but thousands of lives were saved because a handful of men with guns decided they weren't going to play along.

They made a movie about this story, called "Defiance" starring Daniel Craig....you should check it out.

 

That's awesome. I'm not saying give your rights or guns away freely. But I have also entertained the idea as have others of what it would have to look like to use your arms against tyranny of government. My view of this is that by the time someone is forceful enough to enforce or attempt to enforce the fight that they pretty much don't give a shit about your rights and will outnumber you and overpower you shooting or not. Some people will go down in a pile of bullets in the name of protecting the second amendment which by then will have been already taken away. The other options are hide an run and outsmart the warmongers in a strict game of survival. Movies have also been made of people doing just this as well from ww2. Im not saying one is better than the other. Just do whatever you have to do to survive and what you think is right.

First of all, the Bielskis were armed with hunting rifles and stolen SS weapons. At no point did they buy assault weapons at a store.

Second of all, they fled to the woods because the Nazis murdered Jews in the streets and in concentration camps. The US government has done nothing of the sort. To even suggest equivalence between gun control and the holocaust is sickening.

Hello? Native Americans? They're considered people too. The biggest genocide ever conducted by the US government was the displacement and wars waged on the natives.

The early 20th century eugenics programs that were embraced by the nazis originated by government funded scientific studies in the western united states. Much of it involved the sterilizations of mental health patients, black people, native Americans and others who they felt were threats. It was all about creating the perfect human race, just like the nazis envisioned.

It's liberals like you who invest too much trust in the government like it's gonna be there when you need it; to wipe your ass for you when you ask for it's service. Yet time after time history has shown that the government doesn't care for the people; they're only in it for themselves.

A government powerful enough to give you everything you want is powerful enough to take everything you've got.
