    whats 6-back?

I really liked reading through that, it's full of good information written with a personal touch which is nice when you're first joining a forum. I think the sticky, ***READ ME*** dready info desk should be re-named as a simple READ ME BEFORE POSTING,,,I don't know if that can be changed though.

to clarify on the african twist a bit more. for example, my b/f locks are about 3 ft. long (1m) and i can look at each of them and see the times in his life where he stopped twisting to maintain. it's not xtremely noticeable, but they are different. i guess twist to maintain if, like i said before, you want them uniform when they're 3 ft long!

this faq > the existing one by se.

it just picky shit.... i like the personal tone of it so i dont want to suggest any changes :)
mainly its where i stand on the damage debate. i think messing can cause damage if you do it really dumb, but even then, its my opinion that the damage is negligible. felting and root flipping are the only things ive ever (ever!) heard of resulting in breakage of or damage to the structure of the lock.
though if were really talking opinions, i think dreads are far awesomer when they are left the hell alone.

hmm about the roots.. my bf has about 10 cm of roots grown out, they haven't dreaded on their own at all and to add up they're not even in dreads, but just loose hair.. and there's a lot of them. some dread roots are really thin and looks like they're going to fall off soon :(
    what to do

Wow. That was very comprehensive. Great job.

The Velcro thing had me rolling. The mental image of a guys dreads stuck to a velcro wall was priceless.

I can vouch for the saltwater bit. Going to the beach everyday defenitley speeds things up.

Prolly won't affect the dreads, but might affect the color. When I had bleached hair ages ago, it turned kinda greenish after swimming in a pool.
