Now That Peter Folk And James Garner Are Both Dead

Now that Peter Falk and James Garner are both dead, an interesting question remains to be answered by people who liked both classic shows Columbo and Rockford Files.


Was Peter Falk better at playing Columbo in Columbo than James Garner playing Jim Rockford in Rockford Files?

Or Vise Versa?

Was James Garner better at playing Jim Rockford in Rockford Files than Peter Falk at playing Columbo in Columbo?

 

I liked both shows and that is a tough question. I was a kid when the shows were on. I liked Colombo(the character) more, but I liked the Rockford Files better as a show.

Now that I'm older, I think the Colombo character was probably more difficult to play. I would say Peter Falk did a better job.

Colombo drove a crappy car, its a Peugeot 403..
Rockford drove the ugly yet impressive pontiac firebird esprit..
