Finnish shaman. They are descended from the Sami people and make traditional folk music from their culture. They yoik, too.
The main guy, Jonne was also in this "band" if you want to call it. its a duo. lol this is a little more traditional.

Oh yes. Sonata Arctica! I learned about them on the Helloween Tribute CD I bought when I was like 18-Keepers of Jericho.

of course since that was when Kazaa was king, I downloaded all kinds of stuff from all of those bands. Most of the bands on this CD are awesome genuine power metal and battle metal.

 

I love that Helloween tribute but I can't stand Sonata arctica

I'd say there are a few exceptions regarding their early work (Like "Demon Lung" and "Chrono.Naut") but they are great. Have you listened to Oborn's pre-Wizard recordings?
