If i say fanatical group you interpret that as all muslims. Ok mate. Ever heard of Isis? Ya know the group that in February this year vowed to use their lone wolves to attack French monuments. Not to mention an attack on Notre Dame was foiled in 2016 but you think what you want and I'll think what i won't. I don't need or want your approval bud.
If it was the deliberate act of a terrorist group like ISIS, the best response to it, witting or unwitting, might be to write it off as accidental. That'll drive them nuts (maybe more than they already are)..
Just verifying. 6-eyed often mixes them up, or argues for consequences for moderate muslims because the actions of extremists. It seemed you were doing it too. You hate all religions after all. This was already adressed in this thread. It was actually put as if its happened on the day of the disaster No, its not specificly about what I want. Nice try. It's about getting your facts straight. And you were trying to put things the opposite as how they are: you tried to discredit the guy saying it was caused by construction, and the news source that brought that forth. And then act like your or 6-eyeds brought forth assumption is far more likely. Which it appears not to be Nice try Why make it about that? You got nothing better?
I don't understand how with any other fires there needs to be thorough investigations and already they've reached conclusions on this one already. Doesn't sit right to me.
Well, for one it happened very shortly after the construction workers left. They were questioned. It started in the attic where they were busy before leaving for the day. You don't get there that easily so fast from the street.
Not worth it if its spreading misinformation. Which it would be.. The public wants (and deserves) the truth.
It's A Building That's 850 Years Old.......Took 100 Years To Build.......And Now Will Take Decades To Restore........Can't You Exhibit So Much As An "Ounce Of Sadness" At Those Facts..???... Cheers Glen.
News Just In:- A Fire Alarm Was Raised At 6-20pm But A Search Found No Fire. A Second Alert 23 Minutes Later Revealed Fire In The Roof Frame Spreading Out Of Control..... Cheers Glen.
lol...why do you give a shit what he says?..we are talking about ''stuff''....not ''lives''.....people get less upset about genocide than a bunch of old stuff....as big a loss as it is(to many] it is still just ''stuff''....we have lots of ''stuff'' left
It's only going to take 5 years to restore. There's already a plan and CAD images. In any other circumstance agencies would be eyeing off an insurance job.
The damage wasn't even that bad, considering. Could have been a lot worse. Now it's just going to have that much more history to it, and it will be rebuilt to look like a million bucks. All of the history is still there and then some. I see nothing to get sad about.
I think that's probably true. Mourning the loss of such a magnificent historic building is understandable, but nobody was hurt and the money will be rolling in from all quarters to restore it. If done correctly, it could be a monument to the unconquerable human spirit.
I can appreciate a good piece of architecture and mourn the loss of one too, but i have to admit after listening to the staggering amount of some of the individual donations rolling in, i'm feeling a little cynical too. But i guess this isnt the thread to address wealth inequality, lol. so i'll hold my peace
Tourism dropped in Paris since the terror attacks. 5 year tourism plan paid by the elite? I went there.
