i think they had the same happy claims when Californian was on fire. Its a church, not a military installation .. a stone church at that. 6 month of lumber work its returned to new. zero victory here.

Yeah, maybe. All I know is France has been attacked most recently and the fanatical Muslims don't even embrace or preserve their own cultures artifacts, architecture or history soooo makes sense they'd burn a church down, really. Not saying they did, but if they did there'd be no surprises there really.

 

I like how wooden structures can burn all day long and not collapse. It's a good thing it wasn't made of steel or the whole thing would have crumbled in an hour. Phew.

My personal view is that I can observe people and not hate them. It's the same thing cops do for example. There are things about a person's visual appearance that tell you who they are. They will say this is how smart policing is done. And it ties into my point. Do they do this in a racist way?

I think unfocusedanakin doesn't know what hate is. When you look at someone and judge them based on their appearance...that's hateful. The fact that you actually feel nothing when you do it...that's just creepy.

If I talk to them who knows what I learn. What I am talking about is what all people do. Trump is using what he thinks he knows to ban Muslims. Police are stopping black guys on what they think they know. As a pack animal we go to past experiences to guess how our peers will think and behave.

Humans are a pack animal. That is why we live in cites and work in teams. This is why apes (us) also live in communities when say a tiger does not.

I think we just have two different views on what racism is. I am the farthest thing from racist. I can see your point I just don't worry about taking it to the extreme you do. I don't judge much of anything before I know someone besides some of the basic things I mentioned.

If we follow your logic we should then not ban any Muslims or assume they burn down a church right? It would seem we do that in America.

Rebuilding is the best thing they can do at this point in my opinion.

It's what the original builders would've wanted if it ever got destroyed.

I'm not religious or Christian, but I enjoy walking through such cathedrals and living in a christian influenced society.
