I thought it would be good if the more experienced nudist would provide some help for wanna be nudist who are still sitting on the fence. My wife and I are home nudist for years and recently visited a nude campground/resort. Here is a few suggestions to start with.
    1) If you are married or have SO. Start spending as much time together nude in the home.
    2) Research an age appropriate nude campground/resort. Find one that fits your comfort level.
Note: We are older and not into the swinger/swapper resorts. We found a small quiet back woods resort that really helped calm any fears we had.
    3) Don’t fear erections. We haven’t seen any yet.
    4) No one is stares at you.
    5) Start a conversation with another nudist couple. They are friendly people.
Any other help for wanna be’s.

Good tip Lily. Keep it going experienced nudist.
Another tip. If the resort has a pot luck social, bring chips and dip. We did and it was a ice breaker.
For your information. My wife wears a sarong and goes topless when walking around. At all pools and hot tubs, the rule is total nudity.

  3. Visit these places as a day trip clothed first.
If you fear anything and people who are naked see you walking past.
You can see for yourself if it is going to cause issues.
As for clothes swimwear, things like budgie smugglers and bathers.
If there are public toilets make sure the bladder is fully emptied so you don't have embarrassing accidents when at these places.

Always speak about your fears and reservations with the owners of a resort or club. In my time as a part-owner of a resort, we got many fertive and fearful first-timers who were petrified of being seen with a boner, or turning up soft, when suddenly sporting a boner at the BBQ because "sausages turn me on!". Similarly, women often spoke of being the subjects of perversion or unwanted sexual advances -- nothing ever eventuated. So yes, the owners are the first people you will want to speak to get the bare facts (sorry...) about the environment you are in and what to expect. We all had to start out like this somewhere, at some time.

    Agree with Biggle_Nude!
I emailed and called the resort before making our final decision. I must say we got lucky too.
We went after the school year started and it was not busy. Mostly the residents that live on the property. Introduce yourself to them, they are a very good source of information. If your not the social type, then you will not expand comfort of resort nudity. Before we left, we felt at home there. We are so glad we did.

As a long time member of AANR, I have always supported the life style to others that I thought were interested. I always say try it first at home and then maybe around other nudist close to you. Once your comfortable being nude at home and you want to take the next step, then try a resort or beach. I will say that once your around other nudist the more comfortable you will get and then trying it with out clothes is next step. You will find your fears are unfounded, there really is nothing to fear. and myself being a single male nudist I am not that welcome is some resorts or clubs. But for those resorts that welcome single males I have found most all have been very friendly folks and have had a great time. So in all it's just the fear in your mind, and it goes away very quickly.

Within the span of three years, I lost my three best friends. Car accident, unforeseen heart condition, old age. I don't post this for condolences, sympathy, or pity. I post this as a reminder that life is too damn short to waste time worrying about the opinions of others. Don't live your life for someone else, especially not for people you don't even know. Live it for you. Don't let societal norms hold you back from the life you want to live. Go barefoot. Get naked (where acceptable). Please don't hold yourself back from doing what makes you happy. As long as you're not hurting anyone, or breaking the law, there's no need to be afraid. One nervous erection isn't the end of the world. We all have bodies, and we all know how they work. You'd be surprised just how understanding, and welcoming, people are to new nudists. And this is coming from the point of view OF a new nudist. (well, new socially, anyway)

My point is, you don't know when you're going to die, and you can't enjoy your body when you're dead. Use the vessel that you were born with while you can to make your life truly yours.
