you know what is absolutely amazing and weird? we all follow the same "time". can you imagine if there were people all over america who decided minutes were twice as long? and since time doesn't exist, how do we know what we say is a second is really accurate? how do we measure that, without using more numbers to represent more "time"? isn't it a proven fact that "time" is becoming more and more inaccurate as our orbit around the sun changes? "if you knew Time as well as i do," said the Hatter, "you wouldn't talk about wasting IT. It's HIM.... Now, if you only kept on good terms with him, he'd do almost anything you liked with the clock. For instance, suppose it were nine o'clock in the morning, just time to begin lessons: you'd only have to whisper a hint to Time, and round goes the clock in a twinkling! Half-past one, time for dinner!" time is one of those nothing things we need to compare to things to know they aren't nothing themselves. how do you know you are awake? because you weren't five minutes ago. how do you know it was five minutes ago? because you've been awake, watching the clock. watching the hands move in a full circle five times. how do you know you are here? because you didn't used to be and you're not going to be forever.
Of course, how can those movements around the clock be time? Tick tick tick...I don't see that it is time, I see that it is movement. Time is merely an attempt to explain changes that happen around us all the time, in the vain attempt to put everything that is happen in to a line. But it isn't a line, it's a burst of light in the spectrum that is our consciousness. The ability to see the colors and learn the lessons in this now before we move on to the next. But instead of accepting this consciousness as it is - a now that is now and nothing more, we must put it upon a line to explain how to follow it. Maybe. Or maybe not.
I have very little knowledge about the characteristics of time. But i've heard that you can get great insight into time through a heavy LSD trip.
why is time the way it is, like why is 60 the meserment of all that is time shouldenit be 100 then agen i could ask the same thang about that , who made time ?i rather not know what time it is i know what i need to be doing by the sun that is my tool
hmmm maybe we should all trip like crazy for the next couple days then reconvene and continue this discusion.
the weakness of the conclusion is one of the binding conditions of its premis. you start out by saying "if you have something and you devide it ..." and conclude that this will never get you to having nothing. well that much is obvious. the self defeating binding premis is: "if you have something". what if you DON'T "have something"? this is a condition of your premise that obviates your conclusion. how, fallowing this reasoning, is nothingness precluded, if you DON'T start with having something? =^^= .../\...
