All this talk of nothingness of somethingness and vice versa; nothing coicides with something. But they do not mix, they do not exist INSIDE of eachother, rather they exist beside each other, or on a layered basis. You cannot have nothing, when there is something, and you cannot have something when there is nothing. Therefore they exist in two different spectrums of "reality". You cannot bring nothingness into a space where somethingness is, because in that moment you disrupt both the fabric of something and nothing. Instead, they flow past each other like water and oil. Just a thought. -bird-
...thats the same thing as time. the word time is a metaphore that humans put on memory, awareness and anticipation. time does not exist, just the idea of time. and nothing in fact does exist. if you can have "something" then there has to be a "nothing". the space between atoms is indeed empty, but we would not be able to veiw it because for that, we need light, and as soon as light seeps into those cracks, they are filled with photons. simple.
well thats my job. i gotta try to figure that out. best i can say now is big bang, hough im not completely certain. my personal beleifs(you may have your own thoughts) is that it wasnt created by any divine entity.
that's how i think, too. except i believe that time is just a word for where you are. past is where you were, present is where you are, future is where you're going to be. so time travel and stopping time is possible. by going to where you once were on the planet when the earth is in the same location relative to the sun, with everything in the same exact place as it was, you are bringing the past to the present. if nothing moves, time is stopped. but going back in time and stopping time are both pretty pointless. and the way we normally think of time travel, as in getting in a time machine and going back to last week, is impossible. because after you got to last week, a week later you would get back in the time machine. you would never be able to get past that week. memory, awareness, and anticipation all happen at the same time. there is nothing but now. adding information and coming up with new questions. memories are just layers of information. that's a bit off topic but you got me thinking
there is no such thing as time, just endlessly vibrating particles of a ball of energy which is existence. which we 'the particles' are moving, and the particles around us are moving as also. to time travel we just need to re-erange the particles back to the way they were, the particles vibrating sooo randomly the same particle pattern (time) is very unlikly to happen again. you me, and all matter are just everchanging particles that arent changing in time, but are just changing endlessly as one. time is just the movement of the particles. sooo, if somehow we could manipulate the particles to arrange the same distinct pattern again, we could theroetically recreate that "time". fuuck however, you must understand the particles arent moving in time. the particles of pure energy are endlessly "vibrating" in a non-time interval. there vibrating endlessly as one where time doesnt exist. in conclusion : "time" to us, is just the pattern of the intact particles of "vibrating" energy moving in a non-time interval.
time is an atempt to explain the passage of events, it does not itself exist its pretty much just a way to keep track of what one is "to do" but that is falling into the whole idea that we most do certain things, when it is your choice whether or not you do something, you may hate what your doing and have chosen it just as the lesser of two evils but nonetheless it is your choice.
Oh.. erh, lol, I made a little error. What I meant was.. well, just take off the "I agree" part. And I don't think just the event of the big bang is the entity, I feel the whole universe-event is the divine entity.
Sorry for jumping in, but I'm responding to the OP. It's time to get semantic! Cutting something in half doesn't have any bearing on the concept of nothing- because you're talking about "something" in that case. Anyways, "nothing" means the absence or negation of existence- it's "no thing". Of course "nothing" does not exist, because the only way something can exist is if it is a "thing", otherwise there is no thing to even talk about in the first place: and nothing is not a thing, by definition. It's completely inane to say "nothing does not exist", all you're saying is "nothing is nothing". Well, duh! "Nothing" is a concept- the idea of the lack of something, or a state of lacking something; to talk about like it is a thing is completely nonsensical.
Totally agreed. Then of course you have the argument that nothing means anything. Thats a whole 'nother story ala I heart Huckabees style.
why does there have to be time just because there is change? isn't time simply an atempt at explaining the changes? but just a theory to make it seem simpler?
Do you mean thats an excuse thats taken for granted? Makes sense. But if you look at the some of all things it really makes little sense to say one thing is more important than another...but there are many ways you can look at it. I really don't know. I know mexican food tastes good though.
i think thats it you got it right on the dot,we just use these words to descrive and time is just a tool we use to measure, you all are vary smart smarter then me but this is fun Peace Barefoot
