Just random things that are nostalgic for you.
Negative, Positive, Ambivalent memories - things that are stuck in your memory:

The static burning smell of bumper cars; the ozone that ionizes the atmosphere around the arena.

I used to get excited like you remember as a kid it was almost like a crush feeling or love, a whirlwind head spin from excitement. Well if you know what I mean, I used to get that way when going to my cousins place when I was little and still to this day when I am on the same route (I live there now) I feel the same whirlwind excitement.

When I was a kid lying back watching clouds go by on a sunny day and sitting by a creek watching the water and just thinking.

Noxzema cream. My grandma would always use it and if I smell it even today I think of her. She also kept the little blueish bottles and had bits of things in them like ribbons and hair pins.

My mom used to use Noxema. It's been many years, but I can close my eyes and smell it right now. :)

I miss summer camp, the friendships, the bonding, the mosquitos and bug juice, the canoe trips down the Connecticut and Saco rivers, hiking the Appalachian trails, in the evening sitting around the campfire singing folk songs and toasting marshmallows, cannonballs off the diving board, buying tons of candy fron the camp store, sneaking out of the cabin at night to head up to girls camp [IMG]

Funny how we can remember. I don't know of anyone who still uses it but I have been out and could smell it on someone and it takes me right back to my nanny. It is a really good memory and the little jars were fun to open and peek in. :)

Definitely certain smells. My grandparents house always had that old person smell. The smell of leather and campfires always takes me back to my childhood too. My moms perfume.

Oh gosh I still have Noxzema on hand and use it from time to time. We used it all the time when we were kids. It still comes in a blue container but not glass these days.
