Wow Mystic, you completely lost me in that posting - in so much it relating to Northerners and Southerners.
Any chance of Greater Manchester dropping down to Tier 2 was always going to be unlikey .... and as such, any guidance of rule adherence will be met with the appropriate respose. (It's been a long time since 'Northern folk doffed their cloth cap to Southern rule makers - and one can only recall the film poster of that South Yorkshire lad and his Kes trel, as what we feel about their decision)
I agree totally, we have worked hard to make this a safe and welcome place for all. No more trolls, peace reigns. X
But they did, didn't they - metaphorically by voting for the bastards in the scumbag 'nasty party' who don't give a shit about 'northern folk'
Many of us know the reason for the Tory vote up here was because of Brexit and Labour policy at the time IIRC wasn't very clear .The Tories as I expected are making a mess of that so many of us could be living on toast .
YAWN =There you go again - armchair observer from afar. is a truer statement. Whilst you may think that you know what's going on elsewhere in the Country, you do not. People in the North see what is going on, know the mood of the people and knowledge of why the voting went the way it did. WHY - do you keep harping on with the same old thing? - Blaming the North for a Tory Government would suggest that the North held the key seats and swing votes - you seem to forget that it was the majority of the South that voted Blue. You hide behind the statement that you didn't vote Blue - but that is in fact, is just as similar truth.
You saying that 'the North' voted the party in and so - it is their fault that they end up with what they get is the same old record that you keep playing - so why is it that Liverpool is on a lower tier? Could it be that they accepted Government directive, whereas Greater Manchester challanged it, lowered their rates and still ended up in Tier Three. Your conitinued speculative presumption - from afar - does do anything but atagonise those who actually live in and know what happens in their Region,
So Boris has cancelled Christmas, The North has had No change to figures and stands robust. The South, however has; despite the initial reservations that myself, Mysteron and others had about the Vaccine being the solution - clearly that hasn't worked. and despite the measures that seemed to be sufficient, has seen a New Tier: "4" being created Logical and History was there for all to see. This is another example of poor strategy, fire-fighting and too slow to lock a door that should have been locked
I was going to be hosting Christmas dinner for my mum and sister, but my mum's in London so she'll be marooned there on her own sadly. So it'll just be me and my sister. I'm doing the cooking, whether it'll turn out a five-star dinner remains to be seen
I am quite relieved to hear that as I mentioned to Candy ,I was fearing the worst over your Christmas Arrangements. I hope everything goes well to your plan .
Parts of East Sussex have been moved in tier four, but that doesn't include Brighton, so I'm free to travel, which I will be doing on Wednesday.
