well I need a place to stay for a little while so I can get a job. that way after a few weeks I will have enough money to get my own place and take care of myself.

    Ah.
I would seriously suggest getting a job and saving where you are (if you aren't already). That way you'll have enough money for deposits and such, as well as a recent job reference.

Hey, I live in Humboldt county! Well, Eureka, but only for another month. My hubby and I are on a travelling assignment and then we move into our house in Maui in Dec./Jan. Before coming here we were travelling in the Bay area. If I wasn't moving to Hawaii, I would definitely consider buying a house in Northern Cal. I love it here, especially Arcata! I went to Redding once but only because our flight got cancelled out of Arcata and we had to drive to Redding at 3 A.M. It was a pretty drive aside from being sort of treacherous! Do any of you who live in Humboldt know of any good shows coming soon? We saw Dark Star Orchestra at the Arcata community center not too long ago.

i'm another rosevillan. (sac metro area) 95678. also both a furry and a train nut (which some might consider a bit of an odd combination already, maybe more then hip, but the latter is in the eye of the beholder these days anyway. maybe it always was; and not gay either, though i'm perfectly cool with anyone else who is,). into mellow, not loud.
lived in placer county somewhere arround 40 of my 58 years.

58 -10 in oregon, 4 in nevada and the odd year here and there elsewhere like seattle and utah. oh yah, and the first 3 years of my life before my parents moved out here from buffalo new york (and ended up in truckee california where i started kindergarten, if you don't know buffalo AND truckee you probably don't get the irony of leaving buffalo and ending up in truckee. a hint, 20ft snow drifts)

semi-empoverished but at least i've got this internet connection, even if it only is dial up, and i'm not having to live on the streets.

    =^^=

Born and raised in the Bay Area (San Fran/Pinole split custody), moved to Grass Valley, then got the hell away from my protective fam and parked myself in midtown Sac.

I live in Nevada City California, It's beautiful here.
Maybe we could engage in an art project, board game, or maybe a game of twister? You don’t need a car. We could Take a walk in a romantic setting. The beach, mountains or park. Pack a lunch.
Don’t try too hard to win at the game. We can play for fun. Don’t compete with me. Men are suppose to complement a women, the way cheese complements wine.
I’ll be honest and open but not rude. Honesty should be kind not brutal.
You can always stand on the 5th amendment, “I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may intend to insult you” and still be honest.
It’s okay to ask, “Can I hold your hand ?”
    Will you be my friend?

In Davis since '64. Redding is a bit to the north.

I'm hitchiking from Dallas to NorCal by way of Des Moines and Denver in about two weeks. I'd like to see if I can find work in the wine country. any of you cats want to kick it and show me around the area, that would be rad. I'll be hitching the 1 from san fran on up and if nothing piques my interest I'm going to keep going up to Eugene or Portland.

I've never been north of LA. is there anything I should know about your area?

Wrong season for work in the wine country. The crush is over, so there are a lot of workers who are out of work.

Going north on 5, once you pass I-80, you will encounter more red necks.
Going north on 101, you will pass through the Mendocino triangle.

    Not a tough choice.
