best vape for $150 as far as I'm concerned. I have used a vapir inflatable bag, and a high-end silver surfer vape(once, with my friend lucy). Overall, for the price, that vapir is a great deal. Really though, if you're just starting to smoke, just get a cheap bubbler or mini bong, and spend the money you'd have put towards a vape on weed. unless you have a good cash flow (rare with this dismal economy).

also, you should consider investing in a scale. It will keep you from returning to people who rip you off repeatedly. You can buy chinese made scales for real cheap at www.dealextreme.com or you can check a hardware store for cheao chinese scales. I stupidly paid $50 for a gram scale with 0.1g accuracy, and you can get those online for under ten dollars. under twenty at some hardware stores.

if you're starting out smoking, the biggest tip I can give you is to experience the most different sets and ettings available. buy some cheap weed, and some expensive weed. smoke by yourself, and with friends. I personally smoked more by myself, and now i feel awkward smoking with other people.

As for telling good weed from bad weed, google image search for regs and dank. You want the following

trichromes (the little crystals on the weed) these are pure thc. be careful that they are trichromes, and not the tiny hairs on regs.

stickiness(not wet, but sticky. If it is dry and sticky, you know its potent, although dry weed can be much harsher) If you break it up by hand and a lot sticks to your finger, it's good. (do not break up nugs of weed you haven't yet purchased, that is just rude.

you want a fresh scent hopefully you can tell fresh plant matter from old plant matter, but scent is a difficult tell for good weed, plus, some people will put fruit juice or fruit or anything with their regs to make it smell good. i have had weed that was dank that smelled skunky, cabbage-like, fruity, pine-scented, etc. one of the best ways to know what weed to get, is to buy a bit of really cheap crappy weed, ask someone for the cheapest weed they have. That way, you know what bad weed smells like, looks like, smokes like, etc. then, with a knowledge of what not to get, you will be able to slowly identify better quality shit. use the regs you bought to practice rolling joints, keep rerolling until you make really nice ones. freehand joint-rolling is a well appreciated and respected skill among ganja folks.

different settings will give you different results. I say try a few out until you find the temp that is right for you. It will taste different and give you different highs.

I already got my vape.
I tried it 1 time, It had such a light taste, I blew out light smoke, I put a tissue over my mouth, sure enough, nothing showed.

then I hit the pipe(I was coughing all over and my eyes turned red and the smoke really stank bad!), a light brown haze was on the middle of the tissue, so I am happy I made this purchase!

I tried to order online, but they said my debit card did not match my shipping addy, so they stopped the order, now I have to wait on my refund

So I went with a guy I knew from school to a local head shop, they had every vaporizer, for the same price online, so I was able to pick up the vape and a grinder, for less!

I got ripped off already, but thank god 60 bones ain't shit to me. I recieved 1.1grams of "dank" some dry shit with redhairs, and no seeds/1 long stim. I knew I should not have payed upfront, but I went ahead and did it, but BOOM, got ripped off!

BUT it is all good!
I know lotsa folks that always offer to smoke me up, so I will just buy elswhere, and NEVER pay upfront.

I should have listened to that guy on page 3 kingthe3rd, but I can't be seen with any of my 420 buds, or my paa will not let me in on his business.
