dodge bus
well the buses engine blew in northern ontario and it would have cost as much as the bus for a tow to hamilton where we could have worked on the bus, the cost of a rebuild would have been unworth the hassel in appropriating funds, it was vted on and we discussed that it would be a better idea for the long term of the community if we upgraded to a coach, which is a bit more expensive though definatley worth it in the long run, the previous bus had a great deal of rust on the engine as well as the undercarriage it gad a governer on the rear diffreantial which caused gas consumption and hills to always be a hassel.
coaches just seemed to be the best idea for us all, I mean If we have to rebuild an engine after each time we circle the continent we would have to have a home base a peace of land ..or something, which may be an option in a few years (thinking the messa in taos ) though right now our options are limited.

this next bus will be veggie powered , it will use more alternative energy ie solar and veggie generators
a different layout offering more space for storge (as anyone who was on the bus previously would know that storage was always a pain) in the end we had railings installed and had tied things to the roof,m which can just cause damages to whatever was stored.

yeah so we had a few reasons
as for my previous buses, I gave two away when I attempted to settle down the first time, the last one I sold .........big mistake the dude wrecked it ..dah

and I just like building buses its fun!!

Totally go coach-- can you even do a veggie conversion off the bat or start diesel?
I don't have funds for diesel, and not enough know-how for fixing up auction buys, so looks like I'll go RV as I plan on hitting the road here.

well as long as your engine was diesel to begine with you can convert rather easily,
yeah if your not experienced with mechanics its best not to do the auction thing unless you have the coin to back you up...

someday im going to join you guys.. i want to do it now, but considering im only 16, i doubt the parents would go for it...

what you guys are doing seems hella cool though.. it makes me almost cry that a group of people can connect so well together... thats just wonderful... and because i cant do it yet.. i will though...

what an amazing journey you must be on. i'm following my heart to a commune as soon as this semester finishes. i met someone on this forum actually, and well... everythign seems to be falling into place beautifully =) i truly can't wait, i know a commune is where i need to be for [[i dont know how long]], but maybe one day we will cross paths, and i'll join you folks on the road. it does sound like an amazing amazing experience. i hope everything is going beautifully right now. peace, and keep on brother.

well I started in hamilton, this is where I bought the bus, and where I am building the new bus.

well currently the bus is "out of order" we are in the process of building a new one. it may take a while .

as per donation, there is no minimum, though I like it when people give three hundred, but, Im happy with a tank of gas.

for all those people still interested in getting on board when were up and running again, I will contact you as were closer to finishing.

most of them are except me selling hemp jewlery to the group of soldiers that ones in hip galleries the rest is under hip members photos under blinkin. If you have any pics of the bus online, I could really use them, Im putting together a website.

by the way, do you have that dude email we were hanging out with in harrisonburg virginia??????

he invited me to some island this summer I want to get a hold of him....all my numbers and emails are on the bus and thats more than a 1000 km away from where I am.
