You know as much as you hate to hear it that his dad has the right to see him and be in his life and it's good that you are letting that happen and not running from his very small efforts. Even though his dad is a total loser kinda guy as you say. And as for the parents as an adult maybe you can get the guts up to maybe make a comment or say somthing in a nice way that their comments about him being jewish are un needed. Although I have some jewish friends and their parents were quite upset over a baby out of wedlock with an unjewish person...so you are lucky that they accept your son as much as they do. And hopefully your sons father will grow out of a lot of his not so mature bahaviors and see some light in the future. Unfortunately with young dads and moms this happens a lot...where yu don't really grow up until you are ready even if you do have a child. And a lot of times that leaves a woman to do all the work. But you being a good mamma and you don't live with these folks every day so bit the bullet and suck it up. Good luck.

 

Thanks...hopefully I can figure out what to say to them to make them stop. What really gets me is that only one of them is even really Jewish, but they all go on about it like they were born that way. Yuck.


It's just really frustrating that I've worked so hard to raise Noah his whole little life, then his dad just comes back from being thousands of miles away for a year (not long enough, I say), calling himself Daddy and praising himself for all his great accomplishments. He's always so pround of himself! I hate it. He's always like, "Don't you think I'm cool....I'm everybody's favorite person here at the dorm...." He's a dumbass. He's never nice to me. And he never listens to me.

He came to visit for Christmas and wanted to keep Noah for the day. He was sick but I said okay, under the condition that he bring him home by 4:00, don't smoke in the car or anywhere near him, and don't take him to any of his friends' houses where they're doing all their drugs and could also be sick. I had to work, so I couldn't check up on him. When I got home at 9:30, Noah wasn't home! My mom said she hadn't even heard from Matt, but hadn't thought to call him because he told her that Noah was spending the night with him! I went to his house to get him, and there were 12 cars in his driveway and I could hear everyone yelling and laughing all the way down the street. There were all these gross, drunk slutty people milling around.... Noah was in the back of the house in Matt's room crying all by himself.... I was so pissed. I got him already to leave and was walking out the door, and this girl, whom I later found out was Matt's exgirlfriend, blew all her smoke in Noah's face. I'm not confrontational at all, but I don't think I've ever been that mad in my life and I threw a fit.

I can't trust him at all. I hate for him to be alone with the baby, because he doesn't know how to take care of him and won't do anything that anyone tells him to do. I'm going to do the whole custody thing soon, and if he gets any time with him at all, I want it to be supervised.

 

All you have to do is tell them those things. Its very hard to have a baby all alone and be his sole caregiver and then when he starts growing up have someone step in and try to take him away half the time! I don't want to share either! My boys do what they do as a result of me, just as Noah does you. You worked hard as a single mommy to have your baby happy and healthy while he partied away. I'd be pissed too. I think the only thing you can really do is record after everytime he comes home anything weird or different. If he neglects him he might have a new bruise or bump on his head from not being watched...take a picture of that and record the date. Write what it was like(the enviroment) when you picked him up. Write any nasty threating things he says to you regarding Noah. Maybe show up randomly with a camera and take pics. LOL Just walk in! Good luck! Maybe his plane will tip sideways and he'll drunkingly fall out a window or something . And, if you end up sharing custody tell them your concerns and push for suprivised.

 

That sounds like your case against him right there! You should definately go through with the custody thing, that is just disgusting and irresponsible, what a jerk! Good luck girl!

 

Thanks a lot, guys.... I just hope I have the energy (and $$) for everything. His dad is like a millionaire and he could get him the best lawyers, but my step dad is the 3rd highest paid lawyer in Nashville, so he has connections to those same lawyers and might get to them first.... I don't know! It's crazy.

Thanks....now I just need to figure out where to start....I figure my lawyer knows everything there is to know, so I'll just call her and give her the basics and have her tell me what to do.

 

i hear if you have a consultation with all the good lawyers he cant use them. just as long as you get to em first. it wold cost but atleast you know you wold rule the good ones out.
