It's a shame that a man would feel threatened by a woman who is sexually in tune with herself. And I've never 'really wanted' a guy on account of being a lesbian, but similarly, I've never judged a girl for 'not trying hard enough' or 'giving up too easily' if I've not reached orgasm with her. On the other side of the coin, I've had sex with girls where I've felt like I've been doing a pretty poor job in terms of getting her there, and have appreciated the guidance that a girl who already knows what she wants and how she wants it, can give. How many women have turned you down in favour of a guy that doesn't get himself off? Why would they bother? It's a stupid double standard.
