I disagree.
Admittedly, I'd never drink cheap, unhealthy trash like this and think it's disgusting, but still disagree nonetheless.
The drinks (up until very recently) were completely legal and there was a market for them.
Why can they not be sold? People want them, so why can't they have them?

The local news here ran a story a few days ago about how a 14 year old and some friends took her parent's car out and wrecked it, killing two of them.
At the scene they found an empty 12 pack and empty Four Loko cans in the car.

Of course, the reason they crashed had nothing to do with the empty 12 pack or the fact that a 14 year old driver without a license was behind the wheel. It was all Four Loko's fault.

And that, is how you do journalism, folks.

Well, one can of Four Loko is equivalent to a little more than 5.5 12oz cans of Bud Light or 4.8 12oz cans of Budweiser, so I'm sure they were pretty fuckin altered by the Four Loko, depending on how many they had. Even if the driver only had one can of Four Loko and 2-3 cans out of the 12-pack, I'm sure she was pretty fukt. lol

I'm not saying the Four Loko didn't get them more drunk, I'm saying that 14 year olds, and everyone else for that matter, wreck cars when they are wasted, regardless if the alcohol came from a can of Four Loko or Budweiser.

The cause of death should be attributed to drunk/underage driving, but instead, the local news saw it as a chance to further demonize a specific beverage.

 

That's the hilarious thing about this. I was talking about it with my sister last night.

People have been mixing alcohol and energy drinks before this shit was around, and they will still do it after it gets banned.

and TNS - if you drink four loko, you do drink it for the energy. If you think its bad now, just wait till the energy gets taken out and its just like alcoholic pop. seriously, try a sparks and youll know what im saying.

 

They've never sold 4 Loko in Colorado. Apparantly there's Joose here but I've never seen it. I tried a Sparks awhile ago and it was so terrible. I took a few sips and dumped it out. Skol vodka and Kool Aid without sugar would taste better than that shit.

 

Its all about dip and 40's anyways.

imo they're an acquired taste just like beer (though I find sparks to be the worst).

If you're looking to get drunk on your spare change four loko or joose was the way to go. Roughly 5 beers compared to a 40 which is a little over 3 beers. $2.12 a can...I enjoyed a few of em on spare change, but I'm a bit of an alcoholic.

 

I used to like tilt, was like sparks but not shitty tasting and got you more fucked up.
