  1. i just passed my nursing boards, and got certified as an LPN, which is amazing news, however to get a job as a nurse anywhere, i need to take a test, obviously. i've decided that detox'in is too risky (unless one of you can truly convince me otherwise)... i dont know how long i need to quit for, but it's fucking a WHOLE lot longer then just a month =P. my piss turns the toilet water opaque (truly) =P. my blood is thc syrup =P. well... you guys, i love you all, but i'm forced with this hiatus. i'm rolling my last joint right now. how beautifullll this nug is, it brings a tear to my eye. so perfectly cured, so beautifully crystally... ughhh. how am i going to do this guy? =(.

do u only need to pass one test or are you gona be given tests all the time. cuz if thats the case then im sorry man but im sure good ol' mary jane will miss you as much as you're gona miss her and enjoy that J man
  4. just an initial test. thank goodness =P. i'm sure random tests are possible, but i'm only doing this for some college money. i took 2 years of the nursing course in highschool. i went to a technical highschool, and your 11th and 12th grade years you choose a 'concentration'... they had automotive, computer programing, computer networking, culinary.... all kinds of things. i'm pretty into healing, so i chose nursing.
i doubtttttttttttttt i'm going to do this for more then a year or two. so god forbid i get that ol' "heyyy ethan, we need a urine sample" once i started, i guess it's over regardless =P. because god knows the minute i take that test my good ol' friend coconut philly is going to reunite with his long time amigo FUNK.

update: an amazinggg joint had been rolled. it's looking so beautiful. i dont know what i'm waiting for =PPP. but it'll DEFINITELY be cherish =)

i'm off to the patio guys =).

i had to do this last summer to get my job as a CNA. It seriously blows, especially when you have more free weed around you than ever before. Before i had to do this i was smoking with one of my managers at DQ whenever I closed.

But it has it's upsides. Since then I've slowed down a bit because sobriety has it's periodic "moments." That and you'll have more cash around, and more energy for other things. Any time I've ever taken a hiatus I always hit the gym at full speed. That first mile after stopping gets all the gunk out of your lungs and you feel so good. So it's not all dark days...
  8. yeah, i'm definitely looking forward to the benefits of this little break. i know for sure it's not remotely for life =PPPP... c'mon...

HEY!! CNA?? do they randomly test at your hospital?

eh, i've been getting the best bud i ever had , not costing me a cent... and now it's time to stop =P. i feel you there.

but i know my lungs NEED to clear up. i've been coughing pretty chronically for months now =\. it's definitely time to get over this.

thanks for all the kind words.
last night, i only finished half my joint (this bud you guys.... this bud... s2wufbiqwkuhg <333), and probably (definitely) going to cheat on my resolution... now?.. yeahhhh. now.
peace guys. thanks soooo much for the kind words. i love you all very much.
    love ethan

hey man, good luck on your hiatus, and on the drug test. Just as a tip, wait till after you get the test results back before toking up again, incase you have to retest for some reason.
  10. oh definitely, definitely. thanks man.

and [IMG] i think my little break will start tomorrow morning. me and some friends got together and, i'll be set for tonight. but tonight is my last night! so tomorrow it'll officially stop. (=P) how many times have we all found ourselves saying those exact words... too many for me.

if i had a penny for everytime i heard anyone said it was the last time smoking bud...i would have about 12 dollars. :D
  13. i feel ur painnnnn!
  14. eh, just an update on how i'm doing... i'm not =P
i've been smoking like normal... haven't truly stopped for more then half a day, if not less. =P. it's always like this whenever we try to stop, ay? well... i GOTTA get on the ball, because i want to get that nursing job really badly. maybe i'll start to stop again this weekend?

    rigggggght. =P

they do randomly test at my hospital, but only full time staff. I am gloriously part-time.

I also forgot to mention, when i had to stop i kinda... sorta... picked up smoking. I didn't want to stop smoking things, so tobacco was the obvious choice. Now I'm 100% weed again though.
  16. thanks man. i never smoked a cigarette in my life though, and i guess that's a little nice thing to be able to keep? i completelyyy see what you're saying though. i enjoy just rolling up a nice joint and smoking it just as much as the high it blesses me with. welllll, maybe not =P, but i definitely could see smoking something being a great substitute in the mean time... but the only thing i see myself smoking is the good herb. thanks though man!
and hey, i'm going to be parttime too! i'm in school right now, and i'm finding allll kinds of AMAZING career opportunities. i've always been so so unmotivated and unenthusiastic about having to work... wanted to always be a teacher or gardener... however,i just started some classes that have BLOWN my mind... just these few classes so far, and well... i'd hate to put what the scholarship doesn't cover on my dad, you know? doing a nightshift or two a week will do amazing things for taking some responcibility. is a nightsift or two a week still considered part time? i know each shift is like 12 hours! would 24 hours a week be full time?
  17. heheh, i've been smoking enough for the both of us these days since i told myself i was stopping =PPPP but i know when i do take that good ol' longggg eowighnowlrgihwn3g5ikasuejryh break.... i know you'll be there, 2 joints every session! "one for my hommie ethan" :takes nice drag:

  18. HAHAHA thats about right.

The part time cut off is usually about 36 hours a week. If you work that or more you're technically full time. Most hospitals have regular 8 hour shifts as well if you request them, some don't though. I don't know if anyone has told you yet, but the awesome part about doing what we do is the pay, i work about 8 hours a week and make as much per pay cycle as my friends who put in 20 hour weeks at fast food joints, and where I work LPNs make about 7 bucks more per hour than I do.

The cancer sticks were my solution, but any number of things work equally well. One of my friends took up harmonica when he had to stop to get a job at a hotel.
  20. haha, yeahh! polish my harmonica skills!! i've got a C, lowD, and G =). i'm pretty good, but imagine if we all practiced harmonica as much as we got high =P.
