Africa is a big continent, if you think they still have to start raping it for oil and minerals I don't know where you have been ...happily it's also possible to mine in some places and protect wildlife in others. I thought poaching is still a bigger problem in regards to most endangered african species.

I even heard a poacher shot a park ranger somewhere recently. I don't like to think I'm a racist, but God I hate the chinese at times. I wouldn't wish it, but I would be happier to see the chinese wiped out instead of the rhino

What does poaching have to do with chinese?

 

Chinese "medicine" counts ground up Rhino horns among its many remedies, thus driving demand for poachers to do what they do

 

It's easy and understandable to hate on those poachers but to hate them because of their race is of course absurd as usual.
A lot of poachers of african endangered species also do so out of necessity because there are no sources of income in certain area's or in other there are some shitty means to live and poaching just is too tempting to not give in cause it's the only way for them to make some real money.
Then there is the fact that there still is a lot of superstition which makes them believe certain parts of certain endangered animals are benefitial to them in some way. I think this is both the issue in China and among a lot of african people. So it comes down to lack of other means to get around financially and traditional/cultural beliefs.
There are also a lot of rich people in all parts of the world that are willing to pay these poachers for their stuff and thus are partially the ones making it worthwile for them, so I think getting racial about this makes you look pretty retarded.

In the first place there's the prob of finding a harness that'll fit and then getting him to hold still for it. It's ideas like yours orison that have caused him to go into hiding!

 

It's not like it's ALL chinese people are supporting these practices or that this vile business is limited to ONLY chinese. But yes, China is one of the biggest markets. Look up what they do with bears for their bile or the business in tiger parts.

I must say that it was very delicious.
