JIM MORRISON IS ONE OF THE GREATEST POETS TO EVER WALK THIS EARTH!!!!
HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON WHO LATER ON TOOK UP DRINKING HEAVILY LIKE MOST PEOPLE SCREWED UP BY FAME!!!

 

I like his poetry, but a lot of his drunken rages are... eh, kind of sad.

 

It was in a way pathetic how he acted while so drunk, but its sad to see when people say he was no good. Slash was a drunk, and so was john bonham, does that make them idiots?

and besides, i never said i approved of his constant drunkenness or whatever...but like that other chick said...that's what rock stars do. you all are really quick to criticize him, yet...this is a thread about nirvana...somebody wanna bring up kurt's...eh...problems?

 

dude... jim rambled and rambled and rambled and everyone was so high they thought he was a poet. his poems just went nowhere...


and yeah, slash and john bonham are idiots too. im sorry but that's what i think.

I like his stuff although it's not my style... off to read Ferlinghetti and fall asleep while watching Modern Marvellllls.

 

They're artists, and poets. They changed peoples lives with their music, what have you done lately? What makes you so sure you're not an idiot?Im not high, and how come jim's work still moves me?

 

oh yeah "welcome to the jungle" sure helped some people through tough times... and led zeppelin never would have made it without a ten minute tom solo...

i'm sure i'm not an idiot because i haven't had sex with a 13 year old groupie and i haven't drowned in my own vomit.

 

and as for why do you like the doors while you're sober, i dunno, maybe you have bad taste. or you haven't heard anything better...

I also try, but i worry that sometimes i dont come across as a nice person. Im really laid back, but when it comes to music im very defensive.

 

I am too, but I often just don't care that much when people have their opinions... They can waste their own time arguing.
