I went through my Nirvana stage some point in high school.I guess one of my favorite songs would have to be, "Come As You Are"
Two words, fuck nirvana. This kid goes to my school and all he does is play nirvana on his guitar it's so lame. Everyone and their fuckin mom can play smells like teen spirit.
I had an amusing experience at a Best Buy when the With The Lights Out boxed set came out. Whatever station (or whatever) pumps in their music played a really, really rough demo of Smells Like Teen Spirit over the loudspeaker. It was clearly just awful. It was fun to watch customers sifting through their future trash while this played.
the 80's had some alright music, metallica's best albums were in the 80's but op, yeah nirvana's pretty cool. overrated though.
the problem is it's hard to just judge Nirvana on just their ability alone due to the massive influence Nirvana had on music for years But the 90's music scene kicked ass
Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't aware forums and the internet was based on the seniority system. Well in that case I've been on earth about 5 years longer than you have, so eat it. This is the internet dude, I'll say what I want, where I want, and how I want to say it, and if you don't like it, don't fuckin read it. Besides, the Annoying Bitchy Lounge Who Is Too Politically Correct Lounge was full, I had to vent somewhere.
i never got a chance to see Nirvana, i could have like so many times but i always thought no there albums keep getting better ill wait and now look what happened. i have all their albums, but i think its fitting Kurt died. not to sound goth or anything but its like the story "The Outsiders" how 3 people die and it just enforces the story. The story of nirvana will always be a tragedy to me but it stands as a monument to how it takes a twisted mind to create true art.
