You seem to be extremely judgemental.

Fair enough if you don't like his music, but why judge him as a person because of it?

For how he treated someone I love. He said some pretty hurtful things.

you mean someone you personally know?
it's kinda logical to me that other people ignore that for a reason to hate someone. i've read some things about lennon that he could be an asshole as well, i stil like his music

do you condemn people who listen nirvana?

John Lennon was an asshole to, when you really look into it. Kurt Cobain was pretty fucked up to, and I don't even know where to start with Morrison. Point is, no one is perfect, and you can't judge someone's musical talent based on mistakes they made or who they dated, whatever.

I know John had a few barbs in his personality, but he was a good guy. He put up a mean front, but he was a good guy underneath. He let that out in the end anyway.

yeah...that's probably the most true thing i've heard on the subject, but I still hate Nirvana's music and what Kurt stood for..sure Lennon was a dick, but look at Yoko..she probably made him that way, and Morrison was crazy, i'm not even gonna try to defend him..but i just resent the whole grunge attitude, it was too negative, so i'm glad it died along with Cobain..but I guess you could say the psychedelic genre died along with Garcia, so......

There's nothing wrong with idolizing a musician. In fact, I don't know one person that didn't want to be a rock star when they were younger. Its just that, when someone blindly follows whatever their idol says, and doesn't even bother to accept the bad things about them, then that's stupid. If you're looking for a saint, stay away from rock stars.

Hi all!!!! I am New here.

John Lennon was the person who changed peoples minds and he was the greatest person, but i dont hate Yoko, because it was Lennon's opinion. I just dislike her :(

Music of The Beatles, PInk Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and much more was thing that people needed very much.

But when people speak about Kurt Cobain, they just like him, not his music.......... He was just an asshole, who took drugs and he had terible music............... Just dont say that his music wasn't less then Lennon's.

But when you speak about Morrison's music, it is great(and i like his wife Pam very much.............nice woman)

Hey has anyone seen the film Hair.................. it is about Hips (really good film)

Lennon was always a druggie... he was pretty much an asshole for most of his life too, he made fun of handicapped and homosexual people, and just general not a nice person. After he dosed himself silly on acid he started getting into the whole peace thing. Idno that's just what I've read. i just love his music.

they didn't just write some music people liked, they were parts of musical revolutions that influenced so many millions of young kids and even adults. they're still influencing people and still being listened to by both the people who grew up with them and young kids these days. they didn't just write some music people liked.
