Do you have any funny nicknames for your friends/lover, or do they have any funny/fun nicknames for you?

I love nicknames. I love it when they happen organically. They are a lot of fun, and can be a good indication of how well someone knows you.

I was working for an interior designer last summer and her nickname for me was "Smash". My friends have been known to call me "Trashley" or "Flashley", although it has been quite some time since I have done anything to warrant either of those nicknames. I do still find them quite funny, though.

My husband calls and has called me Beats for many, many years.

So, out of curiosity, what nicknames have you given/been given?

    Tom The Bomb....I like that..

There are two Tom's in my circle of friends. One of them is known as Responsible Tom, and the other, Irresponsible Tom. Before I met Irresponsible Tom, I actually thought Responsible Tom just had another, irresponsible side to him.

My sister Jo-Ann had always preferred to be call Jo by her friends and most family.

In high school I was often called Heat by good friends. My sister at one point when we were younger shortened Heather to Heath. I would say er so then to bug me she called me er. Brat!

I gave my kids names that do not shorten because I actually do not like to shorten names or give nicknames.

Wouldn't this first necessitate having "friends/lover"?

My long term boyfriend, and i have several dozen absurd silly or cutesy pet names for one another. The generic ones always seem to apply, then each person I've dated gets a set list of their own personal names from/for me.
My current and I have a mild to moderate DD/lg dynamic, thus he's The Big Bad Daddy Wolf in all sorts of variants and I'm a kitten princess slut. He's also a pumpkin butt for no real reason, it just popped into my head one day.
My family has called me Bean since I was very small. My aunt made it up because as a baby i was most content being bounced in a chair, on a knee, ect - like a little jumping bean.
And my preferred name that coworkers, friends, customers, ect would call me by is actually a complete pseudonym. I chose a new moniker and enstated it when i moved away from home, and away from most anyone who i couldn't reintroduce myself to as i pleased.

but seriously, i haven't really been nicknamed much. in high school most people just called me by my last name. in college, they made a slight variation of my last name, which was just the first syllable of my last name followed by "man." a few people in high school called me "froggy" because i could jump high. a couple of the older women at work call me "cuddlebuns" because they know it annoys me. i think that's about all of them.

Hardly anyone close to me calls me by my full name., but many shortened variations of it.

    This is weird, but
When my boyfriend and I had only been dating a few months we were fooling around and he murmured "big girl" into my ear. I'm not big. I still ask him why, years later, like I really just need to understand why he thought it would be a sexy thing to say. He doesnt know. Couldnt tell me why then and can't now. Says it just slipped out.

Anyways, it made me laugh hysterically for like 10 minutes. So he just kept calling me big girl, not in the moment anymore thank god, but just to make me laugh.

As far as nicknames for other people, I have a lot of generic nicknames I call pretty much e eryone I love...puddin', pumpkin, boo, dear, sug (short for sugar, stolen from King of the Hill), loser, dummy, etc.

i usually go with "asshole." i've learned that this can present a problem living in a small town, because there's been a few times i've shouted obscenities at people and then realized that they were either people i work with, or customers from work.
