    Patriots at Chiefs (-3), O/U 57.5

The Patriots were underdogs 6 previous times in the playoffs and have 3 Wins, and 3 losses.

The most notable win was when they were 14 point underdogs against the STL Rams in 2002, and went on to make History beating the Greatest Show on Turf.

Latest computer model run has a whopper of a snowstorm forecast on Sunday.

If only the AFC Championship was in Foxboro this Sunday. – That would be crazy with Brady and Mahomes trying to complete passes in driving winds and heavy snow.

pass the xanax.. the media frenzy on a panic attack. fcs.. fans have endured much colder and harsher weather during games.
thats what the American spirit is about... sissy media once again trying to Gillette the public..

Still a forecast of 9 f (windchill of -5) at arrowhead stadium in KC is going to be a challenge for both teams

As for Gillette, I used to work at Gillette in Andover MA before they were bought out by P&G
and I’ll have you know they’re an excellent company.

I dated a girl from Foxboro for six years (my high school sweetheart, we broke up when I was 23). You had to be on a list to get onto the side streets during games/concerts at the stadium. Her parents property bordered the parking lot, so I never had to pay for parking. Her mother kept me on the list for years after we broke up....

I asked her out immediately after the Patriots beat the Dolphins in the 1985 Playoffs to get into the Super Bowl :)

I remember ‘Squish the Fish’ from back in 85’ as well as ‘No Pity for the Windy City’ we took care of business with the Dolphins
but were embarrassed in the Super Bowl by the Bears Shufflin’ Crew..............

I like both the Rams and the Saints, am indifferent on the Chiefs, and I don't remember how I feel about the Patriots. I think there was a time when I thought they were a cool team when they were newer. Now I think my issue is that I don't particularly like how I feel about some of the people who are in their fan base. :)

Also, being from California it would be nice to see a California team go to the Superbowl. Go Rams!

They are NFC West Rivals but our QB got injured like Week 3 and I knew Niners Playoff Hopes were dashed from that point on and I didn't watch most the regular season. So I haven't really cultivated much animosity towards the Rams, I've never liked Suh but Gurley and Donald are ballers.

Brees could cement his legacy though, so it should be a good game.

He's getting paid crazy money though, doesn't seem that good, and injury prone

Imho, 9ers would be better off finding someone in the draft

  17. Gooooo anybody who's not the Rams!

I think I'm a little bit undecided on how much to like football. People get so excited about it! And while I'm not totally anti-violence in media (I watch shows/movies with action sequences, obviously some violence... I enjoy watching the game when it's on) I think we have problems that stem from football. But that discussion can happen in another thread.

ultimately I don't feel entirely comfortable being enthusiastic about it. but it's still cool that the rams may go to the superbowl if they win their game.

    Football is a bit barbaric.

A lot of the players are going to die prematurely because of playing, many will leave the game with chronic pain and disabilities, a lot will suffer from traumatic brain injuries.

I think most NFL players go bankrupt after leaving the the game.

It's fun to watch, but there are no doubt ethical issues with the game
