Yet I don't see how America would deploy MDS. Arrow and Patriot are built for much shorter range missles going alot slower. MDS is suppose to defend aginst ICBM that your saying will be threat. For that you need big iron, (dinky mini-computers won't do) like that of Norad. Norad computers are already pushed to the max with scaning the skies and they have the bleeding edge big iron and they are borrowing processing time from NASA and others.

For MDS to be able to be turned on another massive computer center bigger then Norad will have to be build to do on the fly intercept calculations of the targets given by Norads computers. That would be a mega project on its own and so far no computer center for MDS has been built. If they did we'd hear it from hackers bumping into it as it would have to be on the defence network that the hacker elite constantly explore. All those supercomputers with huge mips ratings would be the talk of the underground if just one hacker found a trace of them.

Without a computer center the MDS will just sit there as a ICBM attack will overload any standalone system as there would be just too much data. That is why MDS is only being tested with easier targets.

Nostradamus and before you take that as proof Nostradamus also did tons of false predictions and all of his predictions are so cryptic most of the time it is people interpeting it in a way that it seems predictions are true just like fortune cookies, horoscopes,ect.

That is a contradiction, if the US does not counter how can we have a full nuclear war. Most of the ICMBs are under US control, if the US does not counter attack (As in launch ICBMs when they see the ICBMs comming in) Norad will most likey be distroyed as would the missle silos meaning the US can't fire nukes for some time.

This is a reason why MDS will never be deployed as you have to still stick to MAD or you will not be able to launch a counter attack.

That would mean it is not a nuclear war of 2 parties exchanges ICBMs but one side nuking the other.

They are also scientifically wrong. With a limmited nuclear war people can still live on the land like people still live and work around Chernobyl, not healthy but living there would only give you cancer and shorten your life by a couple of decades. The US has already used nuclear weapons in Iraq. All those people in Iraq are posined by DU roundeds and they are still there.

For nuclear weapons to be as deadly as your talking about it would have to a full nuclear war but then everybody dies as the radation would drift arould the world plus a second ice age would be triggered as the sun would be blocked out.

You said they will never deploy such a system, and they don't have the computors ect. They already have the first part of this system, and it is to be deployed at the end of 2007. America's ground-base missile interceptors are scheduled to grow to 28 at both Alaska and California launch sites. The system is in it's infancy, but it is will on it's way. They have spend 70 billion
so far and they will continue to spend no less than 8 billion ever year from here on out.

I never said there would be a full nuclear war. When America is attacked it will happen so quickly. The first missiles will come from Russian off shore subs. The bible states this will be a limiten engagement, which will be totally one sided. And yes Norad will be destroyed. The prophecies state that are mountain of war will be a burned out mountain. The president will have only minutes to decide the fate of the world. According to the bible, he will choose not to fight, and in doing so spare the rest of the world. The God of the bible speaks of America as anarrogant and proud nation. It speaks of our nation as a land that is built on many waters, with mingled races and people. It states that our nation has her own sea. It states we are a nation shadowed by wings which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopis. It states that we glorify ourselves. It states that when we are destroyed are great voice will be silenced. And the merchants of the earth will be saying there is no one left to buy their goods. It states that we will have the ability to mount up to heaven yet the northern nations will still destroy us.

The bible clearly states that no one will ever be able to live in this land again. The war will be limited to America but we will receive the full fury from the nations that hate us. God states that our nations destruction will be similar to that of Sodom and Gomorrah. So terrible will this event be, that according to the bible, even the surrounding countries will be consumed. The bible clearly states this will all happein in one hours time. We are not talking about thousands of DU rounds here, were talking about thousands of air and land burst nuclear explosions

 

So Russia that subs are out classed by the USs will try and sneek up with their loud ass subs that are ready for the junk yard?

Russia already passed its oil peak thus they are a minor player,they can't even stop their nation shrinking from break offs.

So to recap you think the America will be nuked by Russia? When the way things looks the US and the rest of the world will slam into a brick wall with an oil crisis thus causes massive blackouts that will bring civilization to its knees.

Actually the more likely scenario is the one that is verifiably true, and was recorded over 2000 years ago. The global warming that people are talking about today, was also spoken about in scripture, and is another sign of the last days. The Bible speaks of it in Revelation 16:8,9. It states that men will be scorched with great heat from the Sun.The Jews return to Israel, Jerusalem, the East gate sealed, global warming are not just a concidence. Everyone of these events and many others are spoken about in the bible.

 

i cannot stand some christians, they preach their narrow minded beliefs in something which there is no proof for and then blast anyone who disagrees with them, saying that a force which their opposers do not believe even exists will strike them down where they stand. i thought christianity was about forgiveness? surely your merciful god can find it in his heart to forgive all these apparent 'baby-killers', people that keep the ever growing population down. i know people who have had abortions, they dont revel in what they had to do, most wish they had no had to have made the choice, but in a lot of situations a new baby would make their lives harder, lives which are already difficult enough because of arguments about religion. most conflicts can be blamed upon religion, people storm around the world blowing innocent people up in the name of their god. and then the christians come waltzing in with their bullshit opinions about the moral downfalls of society and how all this could be avoided if everyone would just sit down, shut up and join their religion, because if everybody believed the same thing then those in power would hold sway over all. which is what it boils down to. power, and those who seek it. if you tell people that they can escape the drudgery of their lives and have ever-lasting happiness then they will take it, even if it means doing exactly what you say. religion is a way of keeping people quiet and letting those in power KEEP that power. if you terrify people with eternal torment and pain, they will walk over hot coals for you. religion has good intentions, but it is always corrupted by those who use it for their own personal gain. whatever your religion is, it should help you in your daily life, show you how to live right and treat your fellow man with respect. the point of religion is to help you live properly, not to help you feel better than everybody else. we're all the same on the inside, why do we have to have conflict between people who all share a common goal, to spend their time on this earth trying to better themselves and help others?

 

And how is this war suppose to happen if there is no more cheap energy? Military equipment suck up tons of oil so if there is a crisis the first thing go would be the moderen military. No airforces as no fule for the jets, no tanks due to no diesel, no subs as no communication infustructor to guide them.

Peak oil will turn USA into a 3rd world nation that nobody would waste their effort to invade.

 

So anytime someone makes your life harder you just kill them. Wow, yea God understand. And God can forgive anyone, but this world has already told Him to take His laws, and His book and go shove it. I don't have a religion, my job keeps me from going to church, but I have a faith in Jesus Christ. And if helping others means you look the other way while our nation murders 40 million of it's citizens, then I don't see this as helping others. It does prove how evil a society can get, when all you think about is yourself. And you can justify the murder of your sons and your daughters. I have studied the bible for many years, and the proof of it's truth is there. And it will be found in it's fulfilled prophecies. The Jews in Israel, Jerusalem, the sealing of the East gate of Jerusalem, global warming, ect, are just the tip of the iceburg. The church and American citizens have failed to read God's book of truth. And yet, the future of the world is recorded between it's pages in detail.

 

American citizens may pay a lot for oil, but the military have their own oil fields set aside just for them, and it has been this way for years. Our military will always have cheap oil even if we don't. Believe me. I believe America will fall into third world status, but other nations will put the preasure on America because of our support for Israel. When Russia invades Israel and God Himself destroy their invading army, Russia will not at first believe it was God that did it. It will be then that they move against America. Read Ezk. look buddy, i dont know who you are, what your situation is or why you believe the things you do, but i accept it. i accept that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, everyone is entitled to their own philosophy, and i'm ok with that. so what i ask is that you show the same courtesy, my mother had to get rid of a child, one that would have been my baby brother/sister and i know that it was one of the hardest decicions she's ever had to make. now when fundamentalists/narrow minded fools step in with their view and impose it on others, without a care to how it makes people feel, that is what's wrong. all my good friend here (mart_182) said was that we should all get along, is that so hard? is it so hard for you to let us believe what we want to believe in peace? life's hard enough as it is, without people like you making people feel shit when what they did was a purely selfless act, no-one enjoys having an abortion, they do it for the good of their family and for the good of the child to be, no-one should be brought into a world where they'll have no quality of life.

You know how much energy they need and you forget it is workers not military that is keeping the military powered. Do you think the workers will work after peak oil really kicks in. Hell no, you'll see world wide strikes and riots, if they they are starving and cold they sure as hell won't work for troops in some far off war and troops won't fight once the reality that the indsutrial world is dead and their nation is just a crumbling shell.

After that it doesn't matter the US would not support Isreal as it couldn't even send anything across the Alantic of Pasific any more.
