The News is so Incredibly Boring... It makes me think of Greyness... And No...that Doesn't exactly Make any Sense at All...
i am trying to adapt that attitude phylip. i feel that i should be up to date on it all. and i also agree w/ you halloween. i think that the news does sensationalize the bad and exclude the good. so i have been preferring to live in marie wonderland.
The news can be depressing, but I feel I have no choice to watch it. Since I've gotten the 'net on my computer, I think I've done a good job on being up on the news. I rarely watch the news on TV (unfortunately, I have a hard time remembering the important Japanese news), but on the 'net, I do read mainstream news sites and indy media.
i watch the news every day, i've just started getting into politics so thats one reason but i've always watched the news, i have to know whats going on in the world even if i dont like it, if you dont know whats going on in the world how can you do anything to help the situation?
I listen to talk of the nation on npr and if I get home in time the bbc broadcast on kpbs. I am also an msnbc junkie. The news saddens me but at the same time I have a strong need to be in touch with what's going on around me in order to remind myself how insignisficant I am and to put in touch after a difficult day at work that there are kids who go through a lot more than my kids do and who have it a lot worse. But if I had the choice of mainstreamed news or no news I would choose no news. News papers are what rile me up the most especially the ones in san diego-they're so conservative. we get the LA times but I only read the opinions...okay and the fashion section
I don't feel like watching the news. I just browse my IP site whenever I check my e-mail, which only happens maybe once a week.
