Do you not realize how this might be a problem and greatly increase the risk of mental illness for people's who brains are already susceptible to it?

It has that potential. No one's saying drugs are for everyone, and everyone knows that those with reason to suspect latent psychiatric disorders should NOT smoke marijuana. This is no secret. It's also no point against marijuana.

Just like other psychedelics, marijuana magnifies YOU. If you're already fucking bonkers, marijuana will make you fucking bonkers, magnified.

This is not what I was addressing, and this had already been addressed by others, including myself, in this thread.

Honestly I feel like your rhetorical question distracts from the points I made, without making a point of it's own. You could have at least quoted my full post and bolded.

But your entire point is that weed really isn't that bad, and I just bolded the flaw in your entire logic. A study makes a more scientific correlation on something that's already social anecdotal evidence, it's backing up a negative point. IT IS A POINT AGAINST MARIJUANA. It doesn't matter if most people are not susceptible to psychosis and the vast majority of weed smokers will never have "psychosis" symptoms except when actually on drugs, it's still a valid medical point against marijuana, in fact if anything this thread shows why it needs to be published so the millions of weed smokers who think weed is a some sort of panacea for everything and anything with absolutely no ill effects are just as wrong as the people who say smoking weed will turn you into a drug addict rapist.

I mean, would go and you say a study that shows abrupt cessation of alcohol consumption can lead to delirium tremens isn't a point against alcohol? Because like weed and psychosis, the extreme vast majority of people who drink alcohol will never have DTs, this also includes the good deal of people who would fall into the alcoholic category.

I find it an interesting coincedence (?) that there is another thread right this minute asking for why people smoke and among the reason(s) is it helps one to stay sane, helps with neurosis and insomnia, among just a few.
I, too, can vouch for the effectiveness to help me avoid psychotic-like thinking!

No matter what the issue, you can ALWAYS find some study somewhere that backs up what you want your findings to be. I'm filing this one in circular file 13.

I can make one up but in order to qualify myself to publish such nonsense I'll need to get advanced degrees in speech therapy and proctology to enable me to talk out of my ass.
