New Zealand to Ban Military-Style Semiautomatic Guns, Jacinda Ardern Says

New Zealand is all set to ban military style semi-automatic weapons on the wake of its rare mass shooting which killed around 50 people.

“What we’re banning today are the things used in last Friday’s attack,” she said, adding: “It’s about all of us, it’s in the national interest and it’s about safety", stated New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

Ms. Ardern is expected to encounter little resistance to the weapons ban in Parliament; the largest opposition party quickly said it supported the measures.

With New Zealand boldly banning such weapons used in mass shootings let's hope the Americans and the rest of the world will also emulate them.

Most US citizens are for the ban but the US rulers are only loyal to their financer, the NRA.

It would appear that lawmakers are hopeful that people remain dumb concerning the difference between style and function as it pertains to guns.

And there's no shortage of people who see a rifle with a pistol-grip as a rifle that has the evil eye; it's a religious voodoo thing.

Some countries don't fuck around and do the correct thing immediately. Forget having that happen here. Here, NOTHING matters more than money. NOTHING.

Perhaps you may need to create an another mass movement, similar to the nonviolent civil rights movement by Martin Luther King in the sixties, to ban such guns used for mass shootings.

Nah. Banning pistol grips on guns has nothing to do with safety. She just enjoys flexing her muscles by imposing pointless rules on helpless serfs.

American's aren't serfs. We're still free here. No one will be imposing any pointless rules on us.

The correct thing? A pointless ban on pistol grips?

The only thing that is designed to do is show the serfs who's boss.

Any sort of gun can be used in a mass shooting.

Banning pistol grips is not even intended to reduce the lethality of mass shootings. The only reason for such laws is to show serfs who's boss by making them comply with pointless rules.

We're not serfs here in America. We still have our freedom. No one is going to be imposing any pointless rules on us.

So you've located the root of the problem, have ya? Well what are you going to do about it besides bark at it from this internet forum?

So is it the notorious pistol grip, or is it Congress? Or in light of all the grenade attacks, is it the grenade launcher attachment?

These attempts to violate the civil liberties of free Americans have nothing to do with saving any lives.

The left simply enjoys violating civil liberties for the fun of it.

Likewise, these moves in New Zealand to impose useless rules on serfs are not intended to save any lives.

They simply want to show their serfs who's boss by forcing them to comply with pointless rules.

Serfdom is an ugly institution. I wish it did not exist anywhere in the world.
