    http://expanded--consciousness.blogspot.com/2013/07/have-scientists-finally-discovered.html

Here's the link to the whole article if anyone's interested. Sounds pretty interesting to me. I've always expected that something like this is going on.

    very cool...

I have always believed that also, that our brains have the ability to analize the facts of our lives and come to conclusions of our future.

What you are saying, thats just deductive reasoning, not a psychic phenomenon.

    Gotta link AceK?

I see no link but there is a large part of our brain that we don't yet understand.

I think for the most part we will never fully understand.
It's like cultural anthropology, you can't objectively study your own culture as you are so immersed in it.
We will never be able to step outside our own minds.
    The ego agrees with itself.

I don't know why the forum removed the link, but I have attempted to fix it.

They have actually observed retroactive effects, ie there is a correlation among the data. Read it carefully. They were given a list of words and then given a test to see how many words they remembered. Then they had a computer randomly select some of the words from the list that they would retype several times, so their brains would get more familiar with those selected words.

They found a positive correlation between the random words studied, and which words were remembered most on the first test (before they had studied selected words). The words most commonly remembered on the first recall test, were correlated with the words randomly picked out and studied after the test. It would be interesting to look at their actual data.

Very interesting, but yet scary, too. Time linear? That is being debated with it being circular now....so are future events unchangeable? Also that spooky thing at a distance...If you concentrate on something, you affect it somewhere else is scary, too, and I have experienced that on the receiving end, and sometimes there is no fighting it. ...so is it random chaos or a definite pattern that can never be changed....?...and how can you fight someone's sick, negative energy constantly at you...Any ideas, there, Ace? I am faced with that alot, so that is why I grabbed pyramids to fight it any way I can...after looking up psychic attack on google....and discovered the Reich answer.
Also in War and Peace by Tolstoy, there was meaning of something needed to be at that time, and someone just happened to be there at the right time for it to be them.... possibility and around and around it goes. Am not sure I like it,any of it though. :) for you and :( for what is only meant to create harm.

Last year I had two bad falls jogging y dogs...one I messed up a knee...that is better...the next one...I split open my head and broke my shoulder....911 was called for that one by a passing stranger. I felt under psychic attack then and still do. WTH. I have done nothing to no one.

Yes, the pugs pulled me in different directions each time, too....but the second time....just smacking my head on the sidewak, without tripping on anything? Head is good now...shoulder is still healing....and both falls right after my mom's death.

Sorry about ur mom moonglow. :( Our understanding of human consciousness is quite limited. Hopefully with more experiments like this that are firmly rooted in science (no pseudoscientific mumbo jumbo bs) we can Lear more about how our minds work. I have felt many times, under the influence of dissociatives that I could somewhat influence the laws of probability. It may be a result of a memory anomaly, the chronological order of memories getting scrambled, or short term memory being out of sync with the working memory. Why haven't they done more scientific studies with people on mind-bending substances to see what is really going on. They seem to care only about the objective. They need to study the subjective, and see how it correlates with the objective things they can measure with certainty. Some experiences will simply not occur however, if one attempts to maintain any contact with reality so I may just not be possible to discuss hat is being experienced while it is happening. And we know what happens when one tries to recount an experience afterwards, the chronological timeline can become quite hard to pin down.

You mean with hallucinagetics or something like that? Connecting with the universe as a whole....I heard about all of that. Never did any of that, for fear of losing my mind....am a far thinker, as it is....but don't look down on people who do, either......
so our consciousness is everyone else's, too...and we keep changing our bodies, like cars?.....? Is this what you are talking about, as as usual, am not quite following. :(

Dissociative are drugs such as ketamine methoxetamine, PCP and it's analogues...the number of synchronicitys realized is quite profound! Losing ur mind...I don't doubt anyone under the influence and sufficiently dissociated could quite well said to be clinically insane! Your mind purposefully filters lots of things out, keeps you from seeing the underlying synchronicity to keep you sane but I feel these things are nonetheless there. I have felt many times that I had some influence on the laws of probability, and that in knowing that a certain event had occurred, the probability of a related event to occur was that much higher. An event related in meaning in my mind that is, causally related...I wouldn't say they are directly causally related, but if you chase it's origin through the vast web of causality however, they can be shown to be causally related, even if quite distantly...that is synchronicity. I guess all events can be show to be causally related on some high level of abstraction but the timing can be quite disturbing.

Influence on the laws of probablity?
    What are the probablities? LOL!

Sorry....getting late and silly time again.

I guess I better stay on your good side, too. LOL!

I'm sure I'll have more to say about subjects such as this in about a week or so (heheh):dizzy2: I have good reason to believe this might be the case ;).

Wrapping it all up in a neat little package with this concept we call language could prove quite tedious tho.

I guess I will go sit and think some more. LOL...after things disgest a bit in my mind that seems to be off in every direction lately.

Yeh, I know....language and comminicating verbally does get tedious, at times....so I will just esp and try to stay upbeat....peace and love to all.......:)

Oh, and why in a week or so? Is someone up to no good? I felt that the case, anyway. Good luck there....exactly what I was talking about. People having nothing better to do than to hurt others. I think I know where you are going with his. as I saw thw writing on the wall, already. Great!

There could be some kind of underlying order or patterns in the events that occur. Science may not know where or what to look for, but I feel there could be something more in every synchronicity beyond random coincidence. Maybe the mind can read the pattern and predict what the next event is likely to be?

Knowing what and where to look is key however to designing an experiment, hopefully they continue to design more quality experiments to investigate this that are scientifically sound.
