those are really nice and thank you for sharing. the first two of the outside of the house, that is. the third one with the car in it would be nicer if it wasn't. a well built fireplace is a blessing if you've got plenty of wood to burn in it without destroying too much natural habitat in order to do so, but mostly i think the concept is a wee bit over rated, and very much so otherwise. but it is a potentialy life saving way to keep warm when the snow gets too deep for the propane truck to get through and the power lines are down. if you're where that happens a couple times or more every year for weeks at a time, as was the case many of the places i lived growing up. we got by without one though. by having a big enough tank to last us through the blizzard season and getting it filled before the hard part of winter really set in. those places where they had problems with the tanks blowing up from the vent risers getting cloged with snow didn't have the neccessary 180 return elbows on the top of the vent riser neccessary under those conditions. if you get the chance you might want to invest in an off grid or grid tied as your local situation might be, photovoltaic system sufficient to keep your computer going in even t of utility downness. refrigeration in the middle of a blizzard isn't that much of a problem though. just put the stuff you don't want to rot between the windows and the screens on the outside of them. that's what we used to do in the winter time when the power was off. of course i didn't check to see where you are so for all i know none of that might be anything you have to deal with. more pix of arround the house might be nice too. you know, of the surrounding area, without too many people or cars in the way. but anyway tnx +, nice pix =^^= .../\...
Thanks again. No Molly, no garden, but there is room for one, if so desired. Yea, it is nice having a little safe haven away from the rest of the world...I love it.
