New Party includes Basic Income on their platform

    Not enough information in the article to comment too much, and I haven't had enough time to really research this but I would wanna know where this "basic income" would be coming from. Who's pockets would it be coming out of..the top 5% or the middle class? It sounds good at first but it could also create basically a huge wellfare class as well as a small (at least in population...but representing a large amount of the economy) upper upper class while the middle class goes bye-bye and theres already not much chance to change socio-economic class and this makes that chance even more nil than it already is.

    For the most part I also agree with what gina said, as unfortunate as that is that is what I have seen thus far...

    The idea of a Guaranteed Annual Income has been around for a long time Thomas Paine suggested something similar back in 1795 with the Citizens Dividend and an American President did propose something like it and the Prez was…Richard Nixon…with the Family Assistance Plan.
