No it does not. But california has the most homeless, and is widely regarded as the most leftist state. Therefore it seems illogical to blame the feds or right wing politicians for that. No. First of all, saying "leftist" is contrarian and ad hominem. Second and more importantly, Congress is made up of both political parties. Which party do you see as a proponent of social programs paid for by government? I feel like those on the right try to tear down institutions that give disadvantaged populations a hand up. They want to instill a sense of hard work and traditional labor. What we see time and again is that a liberal, vocal, outstanding politician like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, or Bernie Sanders; who is picked on, stand up and fight for disadvantaged, marginalized segments of society - like those living in poverty, and time and time again we have Jim Jordan or Ted Cruz or Lindsey Graham stand up for some backwards notion that you must conform to succeed - you must assimilate into this hard working boots laced attitude in order to get even a foot in the door. I don't blame "the left". No. I see something quite the opposite.

But its probably the best place to be homeless due to the weather, its much worse in winter states. And there are going to continue to be a lot of homeless due to how bad the economy is in this country.

I don't know if you've ever been to any urban area, but there are homeless everywhere. It's not just California. It's Seattle. It's Denver. It's New York, and it's Miami. There's no "left and right" about that.
