    not acording to wiki
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichinosis
    or snopes http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/porkworm.asp

    ...still gross.
The snopes one was the one I was thinking of, I knew the coke worm thing was fake, i'd forgot about trichinosis tho.. ..but yeah pork has worms, Eww.

If that were the case, everybody who's ever eaten pork would have contracted the roundworms. Pigs only get it from eating raw meat scraps.

If anybody likes pork and is concerned with getting trichinosis, they should instead buy pork that is not mass-produced and not fed raw meat scraps.

about 15 years or so ago this dr showed me this device he just started working with..it was used for putting a low electrical current through areas in pain that would somehow knock out the pain, but he found also that when the contacts were put on the hands so the current went throughout the body every one of his patients shit worms the next day (after extended use, i think about an hiour but cant remember its been too long) he told me they were a type worm from pork that was unavoidable, ..basicly harmless so probly not that trichiwhatever
he also said wormwood would do the same thing but that shit tastes nasty as hell

i never tried it cause after a few long fasts i was pretty sure everything would have cleared out through fasting

just got a message from someone
there was an oscar nomi9nated doccumentary director that made a documentary "we love you" on the rainbow nation

hes going to hopefully drop by my place in the next couple weeks to hand deliver a copy which i'm going to make availible for all who want to see it somehow

hes sure this one would win him an oscar and a sundance but choose not to submit it ..or show it commercialy..instread hes just giving it away (as all things rainbow should be)

so i hope you'll be seeing it in a couple weeks..before i move i hope

mandy are u back from the gathering yet? i am soooo byummed i missed seeing you there..i might have spotted amara in 1 iof the kid villiage vids?
    love u

trichinosis.. is the pork worm... nasty

My understanding at least when I was in the UK is that they don't have it over there

as far as the Rainbow Gathering in NM .. while close I was on the other side of the Jemez mountains... was quite a bit of rain for here then.

I did meet some folks who were there .. they came over afterwards.. nice people :)

part of our purpose is the healling oif the land after all

I tend to agree SoaringEagle.. they were some real nice people.

One guys real name was Vulture ;) his given name as he was born in a van in Ca. and what was flying around....lol

I wish I had some wheels and could of gotten over there when it was going on. But had to be here as my Mom was on her last leg... she passed on last week and New Mexico .. well it's not quite as Enchanting here anymore..but she's in a better place now.

240bpm? guess i'm only familiar with sequencing, but that's fast.

i wouldn't mind having a "real" drum kit either, but you know they cost craploads. why compare though, noones trying to imitate a real drum break with a djembe. theyre all fun.

drum kits got no soul..; no life and vitsality no voice sure u can bang em and make noise .. but you cant communicate you cant sing you cant have a conversation or share in unity

    phen
the gathering are always more in the middle of nowhere then you are
you cant waiut for 1 to be close you gotta go no matter how far

even if its 1/2 way around the world and u only got a rowboat to gedt there its worth the trip

mamny bike or even walk across the country to go
some leave from 1 to go to the next a year away walking

thge longer u wait for it to come to you the more you miss out on
and not having a car is no excuse..i had a cart only for 1 outts the umm..no idea.,40 or so i been to..
