Indeed. I mean, I love Georgia, but I hate Georgia politicians and police officers.

The remark by Syfam sums up his motive.

"[Most bikers] are nice guys, they're people, but once in awhile you'll get a guy that will ride in the middle of the road and flip you off," Syfan said. "This is to identify the guys that are not abiding by the rules."

    That is extremely dumb.

Although, about two weeks ago, I was driving down the interstate, and a bicyclist was on the on ramp, and had his hand up signaling that he was going to get on. I stood there dumbfounded for a second, and then slowed down to 10 when he pulled out in front of me, on I-35 in a 70mph zone.

Not that I condone this in anyway, I'm just pointing out that there are idiots on bikes.

That is ridiculous. I live in GA too but glad I'm not in your county. Frankly I've biked in several different states but never felt safe biking in Ga...maybe it's a good thing somehow...too many biking accidents? I know enough bikers who have been hit by cars.

Also...there's way more awesomeness from Georgia, my friend. And I don't have a clue who that old dead dude is.

I don't like registration, but here in Boston quite a few cyclists have died this past year. The laws need to be enforced for both drivers and cyclists, but they can't enforce the bike laws because no one is required to carry identification while riding a bike. Just like no one can be fined $100 for smoking herb in public because Massachusetts citizens don't have to carry ID if they are not driving (don't get me wrong, I think this good). But something has to change about the lawless way cyclists act on the street. I say this as someone who rides my bike in the streets of Boston every day.

By the way, in Georgia they are not requiring kids to get a license, right?

People on bikes get hit by cars all the time here. I don't see how that matters in terms of trying to register bikes. More big brother bullshit. Anyone out on the roads should realize there's a chance they can die, I mean really.

i've had drivers flip me off for no reason.. SO having a license plate doesn't do shit.

also, i've seen pedestrians do stupid shit so we need to put a license plate on pedestrians too
