Cool, congratulations. Wish I can say the same. My never ending financial obligations means my shoes go back on my feet. I owe, I owe, its off to work I go.

My new barefoot life feels amazing. I feel so free and happy. I don't ever have to worry about shoes and socks. I don't want or need them because I love being barefoot

With me barefooting started with an experiment to see if I could adapt to going barefoot after reading those barefoot running articles, pop up ad for "barefoot shoes" like 10 years ago explained how shoes ruin your feet.

Took about a week of feeling awkward but then more and more I didn't feel barefoot or ' bare' like I was missing something without shoes on but what I didn't anticipate was that after learning to go barefoot I would hate having to wear shoes.

I didn't know that would happen, but wearing shoes sucks. Wear shoes 16 hours and end of day take off yuck ass socks, no way never again unless I absolutely have too.

Its funny seeing the shoe people barefoot at the beach, the tourists especially, they struggle to walk across the parking lot every tiny little pebble stepped on is a tragedy. I cant make too much fun of them, I didn't know either how quickly the natural ability to go barefoot comes with a little practice.

Shoes are just a self perpetuating scam, they weaken your feet and walking coordination so then you 'need' them even more.

I enjoy going barefoot when I can but can't in local stores because of Health Laws.

In NY in my area they do and the stores always quote state laws.

I was told that in my state. I contacted the Department of Health. No such laws. First of all, it would likely be an administrative regulation, not a law. Laws don't usually address such things. Multiple organizations have researched this and found no legal basis in any state. Occasionally, a very few places have local ordinances. They are likely BSing you.

You can blame McDonalds. Back in the 70's, they put these stupid signs on the front door saying "No bare feet allowed by the department of health". The problem, it never mentioned any state whatsoever. Coming from this iconic American Institution, the general public believed it.

The New York State Department of Health has no such law. It's pobably just some random store policy.
