so i have new lil baby dreads in.. there to my shoulders.. boxed em then backcombed. NO WAX USED!.!.! wat do u think of them?
thnx! the back aint lookin to great.. there really fat.. im jus gonna let em go n crochet the loose hairs..
well i planned on using a really small crochet hook.. a big 1 would put a hole in my dreads.. thnx though
small hole big hiole a holes a hole the perforations on stanps are very small holes but theyre there to cause a weak point to make the fibres break easier..hair is just fibres theres nio reewason to crochet ever and..if you start crochetting it chanfges the look techture anmd feel of the dread so if you stop theres a dist=inct difference in the uincrochetted and the woven look of the crochetted areas so since once you start u miust keep doing it forever to avoiud that think how many holes u must poke in em week after week (and the hours of wasted work involved) better ogff just leacving em be dreads take care of themselves
theyre only a week old, chillax and let them do their own thing. things will get loose, things will get tight, its all part of the fun =] theres no need to crochet or anything,, just let 'em be
so should i jus lettem b and jus palmroll??i wont use wax period.. i washed em once with dr bronners peppermint. they may look a lil overworked cause i re backcombed some of em cause they were really loose.. the person who did them didnt really get em tight tight.. got some locking accelerator on the way from dreadhead hq.. and some shampoo n other stuff there sendin wax but im jus gonna give it to my friend who insists on using wax...
I wouldn't use anything from Dreadheadhq. There are no "products" for dreads. They are a natural hairstyle, although some people are challenging this notion. Don't re-backcomb anymore, it's damaging enough the first time. Just wash your hair when you feels it needs it and that's it. All backcombing does is give the illusion of having dreads, when in fact they will take upwards of a year to lock up.
You don't need to buy dreadheadhq's products. (Sure you can if you really want to) If you just go to your supermarket you can buy some sea salt and mix with warm water, gives you the same results as dreadheadhq's dodgy locking accelerator and is waaaaaaay cheaper. Oh yeah advise your friend once more to ditch the wax!
dreadheadehq stuff is all crap find myt thrwad the solutyin to the dreadhewadhq/knottyboty scam send all that crap; back demanding your money back including that letter..anmd bump the thread too the acelerator is insanely expensicve salt warter with probly chemicals ui dont want too a bottle of sea salt solution that size should be a fraction of 1 cent n if u buy sea salt u could make probly 50 gallons for less then they charge educate your freind that wax traps crap dirt water it cauises mol;d it prevents dreads from really dreading and once its past your butt it really literakly traps crap wax is nearly iompossinly to remove and causes more dreads to be cut then anything
they look like mine when they were new, and mine have turned out n ice IMHO so your probably in for a good ride.
